Today is the forth day that I'm spending in Hawaii.
Guess what I did yesterday?
Yes, you're right.
I basically spent the whole day with Brenny dodging from Alex. It wasn't very hard though. We just excused ourselves from the couple while they went out to the beach to tan.
During the entire 24 hours, I was actually cuddling on the couch with Brenny, trying out a Harry Potter movie marathon. Not that I'm a huge fan of that movie, but it was the only one that was available so we stuck to watching it.
Why were we cuddling? Well, the seat was actually a couple seat and it was the most comfortable one. Being the stubborn people that we are, none of us wanted to give in, so we ended up on the seat together, our bodies pressed against each other.
Anyways, after spending a whole day with him yesterday, I must say that it was actually quite fun. During the entire movie, he was constantly adding in remarks here and there, without fail. Even though it was kinda annoying, as I was trying to listen to what they were saying, some of his comments were quite funny that it just made the both of us crack up.
So if you were to ask me what the movie was about, I wouldn't really be able to tell you as I wasn't really paying full attention to it.
"So, what's the plan for today?" I asked, taking a bite of my omelette.
"What about some water sports?" Paul suggested.
"I heard that their water activities are really popular here. They have a lot of activities that we can choose from and since we are staying at their resort, we do not have to pay!" Mel added ecstatically.
"Sounds like a plan!" I replied excitedly, my heart already drifting off to the beach. I really love water sports even though I hate track and basically anything related to a lot of vigorous running.
"Alright! We shall meet here again in 15 minutes time!" Mel announced and off we went to change.
I got into a pair of matching white bikini and threw my hair into a side fishtail braid so that it doesn't stick everywhere when it touches the water later. You know how annoying your hair can get when it's wet? Especially when the tangles start to form.
"You ready, Lynnie?" Brenny asked, pulling his top off. Ah! That muscular chest and tanned skin! He looked absolutely perfect as his skin is not exactly super tanned. But it wasn't very pale neither. If you get what I'm saying.
"Yeah. Let's go!" I answered, opening the door.
We strolled down together, laughing at the silly jokes he cracks.
---
"Oh my gosh! Do we really have to do this?" I asked as it was our turn.
"Yes we do. Now stop being a spoilsport and join us!" Paul shouted from in front.
"Fine!" I pouted and got up from my seat unwillingly. I started taking really slow strides to where the trio was standing, waiting for me with a really annoyed look on their faces.
On second thoughts, I decided to give this a slip and so, I scurried back to the seat and sat down, again.
It was finally our turn to try out the banana boat after 10 minutes of waiting.
If you have no idea what a banana boat is, we'll let me full you in. It is basically a float that is in a shape of a banana and it would be dragged out into the sea by a boat in front. The person driving the boat would try to make lots of sharp turns and would go really fast so that we get dunked into the water.
It's a really fun activity as I've tried it before once. However, that time, I did not drop into the salty water as I was gripping super hard on the rope.
I wasn't about to risk dropping into the sea.
Accidents might happen, right?
What if I dropped into the sea and then a shark suddenly comes and attack me?
What if I suddenly get stuck with the engine of the boat and end up dying due to a huge amount of blood lost?
What if my life jacket is not right enough and it drops and I end up drowning?
Oh god! This is too scary!
"Lynnie, if you're not going to stand up, I think I'll have to do it the hard way." Brenny said, sighing.
~No response~
"Lynnie?"
Ignore him and he'll go away!
"Lynnie?" He repeated, this time louder.
Don't give in! Think of happy things. Unicorns, fluffy cotton candy, rainbows, chocolates.
Hmm.
"Fine!" He sighed.
Yay! He's finally going to leave me alo -
"AHH! PUT ME DOWN RIGHT NOW! BRENNAN SMITH!"
I screamed at the top of my lungs, earning a few questioning stares from others around us.
That stupid Brenny had me scooped up now. Not in a nice manner though.
My body was sling over his broad shoulders and my face was facing his nice butt while my arms were flying up and down in all directions, trying to hit him so that he would put me down, but to no avail.
He didn't even bulge at all!
Depleted of all the energy I had left, I gave up trying. Believe it or not, it really is difficult to breathe in such a kind of position. This is like a million times worse than the one where all my limbs got stuck together. In that situation, I could still breathe quite properly.
However, in this one, I can't quite get the oxygen into my lungs and I was hung upside down!
To top it off, it was also extremely embarrassing as I looked so unladylike now.
After a few more agonizing moments, he finally put me down and never in my entire life had I been more than thankful to be able to stand on the ground with both my feet again.
"Asshole!" I mumbled under my breath quite loudly after my lungs started working again.
"Sorry but what did you just say?" Mel asked.
"I wasn't talking to you!" I replied and stormed my foot grumpily to where the facilitators were waiting for us quite impatiently.
Opps. It wasn't entirely my fault that we wasted so much time getting there, right?
Now I feel bad for those people waiting behind us, for their turn to go on the ride.
I put on the life jacket over my bikini and pulled the strips together really tightly before joining the rest at the waiting area, where the banana boat was waiting for us.
"Alright, you may get on the float now." The facilitator told us and we nodded our heads.
I quickly and carefully found my way over to the one in the middle and say down on it, grabbing the strips at the side tightly. Sitting in front of me was
Brenny and behind me was Mel and the one furthest at the back was Paul.
Soon, the sound of the engine starting could be heard. I shut my eyes tightly, my heart pounding really quickly in my rib-cage.
How can one change their minds so quickly about something, I have no idea. I was still really excited this morning during breakfast and was really looking forward to this. But now, here I am, freaking out. What the hack is wrong with me?
The last thing I heard before we moved out further into the sea was a "Good Luck and have fun!" from the facilitator and so the bumpy ride began.
