"And... We are done!" Shay, my makeup artist, announced cheerfully. She grinned widely at me, looking very proud of her masterpiece.

I gave her an excited smile in return and turned towards the mirror in front of me.

Finally, I thought. Shay had been working on my hair and makeup for the past half an hour, and throughout that half an hour, she had forbidden me from looking into the mirror until she was done.

Wanted it to be a surprise, she said.

My hair was wrapped up in a neat bun, with a few curly locks purposely hanging loosely at my sides, and my make up was done professionally. The strapless white floor-length dress hugged all my curves at all the right places, and a pair of diamond studs given by mother dearest was hooked on my earlobes.

Not trying to brag or anything, but I thought I looked pretty today.

Of course I had to.

It was my big day after all.

A few hours later, I would officially be Brenny's wife. His lawfully wedded wife. You have no idea how excited and nervous I am at the same time right now.

If you were to marry the guy whom you've always been loving for years and still counting, I bet you would feel the same as me.

"Thank you. Thank you so much." I beamed at Shay and gave her a side hug, which caused her to chuckle in return.

"No problem, sweetie. It's my job to make you look sexier for your soon to be husband." She complimented and sent me a wink.

Just as I was about to reply, the door burst open and in came none other than my bestest best friend.

"Oh my gosh, you look stunning, Cait! I can't believe you're finally getting married to the guy you love the most!" Mel gushed, squealing like a fan girl.

"Me too," I sighed contentedly, a faint smile tugging at my lips once again.

"Well, the ceremony is about to begin in a few minutes. I came in to inform you about it," Mel spoke once again.

I nodded and she left soon after with Shay, to get herself ready. Said she wanted to look sexier for Paul. That girl is something else, really. If you're wondering, Paul and Mel got married a month ago. It was really sweet, witnessing them saying their vows to each other.

And it is now finally my turn.

When Brenny proposed to me a few months ago, I felt a million emotions coursing through my veins.

Joy, excitement, happiness, shock and love. You name it, I felt it.

Firstly, he bought me a set of clothes and told me to dress up. Then, there was a post card on my dressing table, asking me to wait at the lobby of our apartment. When I arrived downstairs, there was already somebody waiting for me beside a car. He drove me to the prettiest beach in our area and dropped me off.

I was then ushered by a pair of couple, who even after putting on a mask, still looked suspiciously like Mel and Paul, even though they kept denying it when I asked them after that.

Anyways, back to the main topic.

They ushered me towards the beach, where my favorite red roses were placed in two rows along the coast. They beckoned me to follow the roses, before disappearing to God knows where.

At that time, I was absolutely clueless as to what was going on. So, I just did as I was told, and followed the path where the roses led me to. The beach was literally empty, and it felt as though it was closed, and only reserved for me today. The cool salty air was breezy and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore made me felt peaceful.
