Nothing came out of my mouth.

Let me rephrase it a little.

Nothing could come out of my mouth.

I've opened and closed it for several times already. I looked just like a fish out of the water and gasping for oxygen.

What was he doing here?

"What is going on?" Brenny whispered.

Why was he even here?

"Why are you all staring at that guy? I think I look hotter than him though." Brenny stated.

When did he come here?

"Hey guys..." Brenny trailed.

Who did he come here -

"What the hell is going on? Can someone please fill me in? Stop ignoring me! I'm not invisible!" He screamed in annoyance this time.

This guy really likes attention.

I sighed and turned to face a very frustrated Brenny staring at me, with crossed arms.

(Brennan's POV)

I was starting to get really frustrated because no freaking one was listening to me.

You know that kind of feeling when you are talking to a bunch of people yet they doesn't even give you a damn? Even when you try your best to get their attention by cracking jokes occasionally or do acts.

"I guess it's time to tell you the story." Lynnie started and led us to another corner of the beach so that we could talk more privately.

We followed her footsteps and I raised one brow, waiting for her to start explaining everything to me. I hated being kept in the dark. It is really annoying.

After a full minute of waiting, she finally started talking. I was really interested to find out who that stranger was. Why were all of them so shocked to see him? He must be someone they really hated or despised.

"Alex." she trailed off.

"What?" I inquired, confused.

"That guy. He was my ex-boyfriend."

Oh. So that Alex guy was her ex. How lucky of him to have her as his girl. But why did they have such a killer look on their faces when they saw him?

As though Lynnie could read my mind, she answered my question soon after.

"I went to his house one day randomly, wanting to give him a surprise. However, when I stepped into his room, he gave me an even bigger surprise. He was practically kissing the fuck out of a slut on his bed. I got so upset and pissed off that I ran back home, bawling my eyes out. Of course, he did chase after me and tried explaining himself. Since I was too devastated to even think about anything, I just zoned him out and broke up with him on the spot before sprinting away again. That was probably the last time I've ever talked to him since nothing was explaining about." She finished and it was very visible that tears were forming in those beautiful eyes of hers.

"What a douche bag, that bastard!" I exclaimed loudly. How could he do such a thing to my Lynnie? If I'd studied in her High School, I would most definitely be by her side to protect her from that jerk. She doesn't deserve to be treated like this!

Without thinking twice, I took a few strikes towards her and wrapped her up in a hug. "I'm sorry for what happened." I spoke into her hair. Damn, it smelled so nice!
