Ch. 1

ROBIN
It's All My Fault

After I saw Tanayah nod at me I decided it was now or never. I smashed the light and the place went pitch black...I heard Tanayah shout.

"ROBIN RUNNNNNN"

I did just that. I heard two shots and someone groaned as if they had been hit. I wanted to go back down but it was dark as hell down there. I decided to listen to what Tanayah said. Once I got up and out the basement I realised it was still daylight outside but the sun was ready to set soon.

I ran in the direction of the main road and saw the car, I jumped in and saved this location in the navigator. I then searched for the directions to her house. Thank goodness she had that in there I thought she may not as it wasn't necessary. I didn't know where my phone was nor did I know where Tanayah's was.

I had to have broken every speed limit there was known to mankind. I didn't know who got shot, if anyone got shot or if they were down there fighting, I didn't know anything and I couldn't stop crying. Took me about twenty minutes to get to the family home. No one was there. I felt like screaming.

Where was everyone?

I jumped back in the car and raced to Romaine's house. No one was there either. I was getting angry now. I jumped back in the car scrolling through the navigator for favourite places or most recently visited. I came across one of the warehouses. I know they told me to stay from those places but this was important. Also if they weren't there someone could lead me to them. I reached the warehouse in under ten minutes, I noticed Big T's car and was relieved. I ran out and burst in. I guess all the adrenaline had got to me; last thing I remembered was screaming "HELP" before I passed out.

I could hear muffled voices and managed to open my eyes and looked up to see I was in hospital with everyone staring at me. I jumped up panicking.

"No no no no!! Where am I? Why am I here? Why y'all here? How long have I been here?"

"Woah woah woah. Robin calm down. You in the hospital, we been here no longer than one hour; you passed out honey. You gotta tell us what happened, you are in a bad way." Mama T said.

"ONE HOUR???? OH MY GOD..." I jumped up and felt a sharp pain in my side. "...Ahhhhhhhh" I was carried back to bed by Big T.

"Please. We have questions but you need to be calm." Big T said.

I nodded my head.

"Well, first of all. We want to know what happened with you. Also we have been trying to call Tanayah and can't get no answer. She would want to know that you're here."

"Y'all never noticed she came to the warehouse in Nayah's car?" Romaine spoke up. I looked at him and cried.

"I'm so sorry" I said to him.

"Nah, don't cry Rob. I wasn't having a go. Was just stating facts."

"No..." I looked at them all. "...I am so sorry. It's all my fault." I couldn't stop crying.

"What's your fault sweetie? What happened?" Mama T asked.

I finally calmed down and told the whole story.

"...I did as Tanayah said and smashed the light. I heard her tell me to run so I did. Then I heard two shots. I know one of them got hit. Because I heard moaning." I cried even more.

I didn't know if any of my sisters were alive or dead.

"Robin. I know you upset. But I need you to think real hard about where they last was." Big T said so calmly.

"No need to think...I saved the area in Tanayah navigator when I left." I answered.

He kissed my forehead.

"Good girl. Once we get Tan we gon be right back." He said before everyone left. Layla stayed with me. As Ro hugged Layla I shouted to him.

He looked at me.

"I'm so sorry. If I was never here my sister wouldn't have flipped out over you or me."

"Don't apologise for her...look at what she's done to you...we just need to find Nayah and trust me we will." He said.

I knew she would kill me but he had a right to know.

"Maine...Please find her...Please find Tanayah. She's Pregnant..."
