It was too late to take Scarlett back to her dorm, so she crashed at our house, which was fine with me. She didn't have any clothes to dress into, so I lent her one of my tee shirts and a pair of sweats. She changed and climbed into bed as I laid there.
"Well, you look pretty hot in my clothes," I said to her.
She rolled onto her side and smiled at me. "You know I could have asked Liz for some pajamas."
"Do you want to disturb her and Drew?" I asked.
She thought for a minute. "Well, in that case, these sweats are comfy."
"I thought so," I mentioned.
"You know what I realized," Scarlett mentioned to me.
"What's that?" I asked.
"This will be the first time we've slept together since we started dating," Scarlett pointed out.
I gave her a look.
"You know where we sleep in the same bed together. Get your mind out of the gutter, gutter boy," she said, giving me a playful shove. I chuckled. I turned off the light on the nightstand and laid down next to her. As she closed her eyes, I pulled her close to me and snuggled with her, falling into a peaceful sleep.
I woke up to see a mess of dark red curls next to me. So Scarlett sleeps in later. I leaned over and placed a soft kiss on her neck, only to get greeted with a smack from her hand as she pulled the blanket over her head. Okay, this girl wasn't as much a morning person as I thought. I got up and used the bathroom, then brushed my teeth.
While she snoozed, I got a cup of coffee. Junior and Drew were up and having breakfast. Everyone must be asleep. As I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a mug, they were staring at me. I poured some coffee into the cup and turned, taking a sip, "What?"
They both looked at each other, then dropped their spoons and getting up quickly from their seats. Then I heard screaming and set my cup down. I went upstairs to see what happened. Junior and Drew were standing near my door, and I saw Elijah holding a bucket and Scarlett drenched.
"Elijah, I will kill you," she screamed.
"Gotta go," Elijah said, running past us with Scarlett chasing him.
"Did you know he was planning this?" I asked them.
"Well, he was planning on dumping it on you. He didn't figure you being up before Scarlett," Drew said.
Then we heard Elijah yelling, "Ow! I'm sorry!"
"This can't be good," I said as I left the room with them following me. We came downstairs to find Elijah pinned on his stomach on the floor, and she had his arm around his back.
"Never wake a woman from their beauty sleep," she growled at him. The girls came downstairs, still half asleep.
"What's going on?" Hope asked yawning.
"Oh, it's just Elijah getting his ass kicked by Scarlett. I'm going back to bed," Liz said, going back upstairs. Hope followed suit, as did Davina.
"Davina! A little help here, please," Elijah yelled to Davina.
"Eh, you're on your own," Davina said, waving at him as she went back to bed.
I walked over and pulled Scarlett off Elijah. She glared at him as he got up, rubbing his arm, "Someone's not a morning person."
She threw her hands up in the air and went back to bed.
"Damn, dude, she can kick some ass," Elijah said to me.
