They followed Cole to a house and parked their vehicles. They got out of the car and walked over to him as he stood in front of the house.
"Look familiar?" Cole asked Jordan.
"Why are we at my old home, Cole? My family hasn't lived here in years," Jordan said.
"You sure about that?" Cole asked Jordan.
"Positive. After my dad went to jail and Mom returned, we sold it," he said with slight irritation.
"Then I got one hell of a surprise for you. Follow me," he said to all of us.
They followed Cole and Mom looked at Dad, "Why do I get a bad feeling about this?"
"You're not the only one," Dad said to her as they walked into the house.
Cole led them to a room upstairs.
"Cole, why are we at Josh's old bedroom?" Jordan asked.
"Jordan, did you ever go hunting with your dad?" Cole asked him.
"No, I was never into that shit, and I couldn't stand my dad. So, why would I want to be alone in the woods with him, where he had access to a hunting rifle?" Jordan asked him.
"Did your brother?" Cole questioned.
"Maybe a few times Josh went with dad. Why?" Jordan asked.
"Because of this," Cole said, opening the door to Josh's old bedroom. Jordan walked in, and the rest followed. It stunned them.
Jordan walked around, looking at everything that was there. Guns, knives, pictures, letters, Mom's book, and bloody clothes. They all looked at everything, and Mom picked up a message. It was her response to the fan that she was having problems with them.
She handed it to Dad, who looked at it then at Jordan, who looked like he saw a ghost.
"Jordan?" Dad asked him.
"I didn't know, man. I swear," Jordan said, his voice barely a whisper.
"When's the last time you talked to your brother?" Frazier asked.
He shook his head, trying to think, "I don't know. It's been years. He disappeared. I asked Mom, and she said he was having some issues but wouldn't elaborate."
Jordan sat down on the edge of the bed and put his head in his hands. Elena sat down next to him and wrapped her arm around him, "I'm sorry, babe. I didn't know."
"I know, hun," she said, rubbing his arm with reassurance.
"Are you positive this is Josh doing this?" Dad asked Cole.
"Absolutely. Ryan, he gutted that kid like an animal, and I'm pretty sure he was alive when it happened," Cole said to him.
"Um, guys, I hate to break up this little creepy reunion of sorts, but what about the kids?" Frazier asked.
Jordan's head snapped up. Then Cole's phone went off as did the rest of them. Someone pressed the signal. They bolted out of the house and headed to Cole's, breaking every law out there.
I got tossed against the wall, hitting the ground with a thud. I looked up to see Junior trying to get the knife away from the guy as he went after Elijah. He whipped around, slicing Junior's hand, then pushed him down with a kick.
"You will be the first," he growled as Elijah jumped over the chair, grabbing a poker from the fireplace. He took a swing, but he caught the poker and pulled him to him, "Is that any way to treat family?"
