Some things never change, and never will

We sat around the table, trying to make sense of this all. He was a sneaky fucker for sure. While the girls were a nervous wreck and the guys try to calm them, Scarlett seemed more relaxed. I swear nothing bothered this girl, except for Micha coming after her that night, and even then, she took it as it came.

"Okay, so we know for a fact he is alive and working with someone," Junior said.

"And the person that he is working with is a few years older and looks similar to him," Elijah added.

"The question is, who the fuck is this guy?" Drew asked.

"Whoever he is, has been watching us and he's been leaving behind a calling card with his cigarette butts," I said.

"We need to figure out who it is and fast," Junior said. We all looked at each other, then at Scarlett.

"What?" Scarlett asked a bit confused.

"Seriously? That's your plan," Scarlett exclaimed.

"I think it's a good plan," Junior said.

"No, it's a crappy plan," Scarlett said, putting up her hand in defense.

"Come on. We know you can take care of yourself, and we promise we'll be there if something goes wrong," Drew said.

"Oh, like what happened in Cabo with all of you? Come on. They already know I'm with Matt. Don't you think they will get suspicious?" She asked us.

"She's got the point," I said.

We all looked at each other. Then Scarlett pulled out her cell phone and made a call.

"Okay, we're trying to figure out how to take care of frick and frack, and she calls a friend," Drew remarks.

Scarlett shot him a look. "For your information, I'm not calling a girl. I'm calling a guy." Then she stuck her tongue out at him, earning a laugh from Elijah and glare from Drew. Oh, did I mention a bit of jealousy from myself?

She spoke to the person, then hung up.

"Well," Junior asked.

"They'll be here in ten minutes," she replied.

"They?" I asked.

Before she answered, we heard a knock at the door. Junior opened it, and the brothers stood there - all five of them.

"Someone called for reinforcements," Angelo said, cracking his knuckles.

We all looked at each other; then a smile formed upon our lips. They want to play games. We'll play games.

I pulled out my cell phone and made a call while the others filled in the brothers. After speaking to the person, I got off the phone and walked over to them.

"Well, what did he say?" Junior asked.

"What did who say?" Zane asked, confused.

"My father," I answered Zane.

"And?" Elijah asked.

"Two words: game on," I said, causing the guys and girls to smile while leaving Scarlett and her brothers confused.

I explained to them the meaning, and they understood, then we worked quickly to plan. We needed to do our homework first and figure out who this mystery guy was and then figured how Maddox fit into all of this.

While we worked our part of the plan, the adults were working on theirs. First up was a visit to Josh.

Jordan, along with Dad and Frazier, paid a visit to Josh. Dad and Frazier waited in the lobby as Jordan made his way back to a room where Josh was. He walked in and saw him sitting by a window in what seems like an activity room. He wore a hospital gown, staring out of the window.
