The MRI scan was finished. Luckily there was only cancer in the ankle . The Dr. put me into another room. I closed my eyes then I heard a voice.
" Hey my sister is Richie and she wanted me to tell you that I am meant for you, I mean she has told me all about you and I love you." I opened me eyes no one was there. Um okay then...
I just ignored it and went back to sleep. In the dream I saw him I saw the man that talked to me, I have to admit he was pretty cute. I opened my eyes to find Richie staring at me.
"I heard you only have cancer in the ankle." She said, smiling. I nodded, I didn't really want to talk right then. "You doing okay?" I nodded once more and smiled. "So your parents told me to give this to you," She handed me an envelope.
"Thank you so much for everything," I said sounding hoarse. She came up to me and brushed the strand of my dark brown hair out of my face. Then she pressed a button, lifting the bed up. " Wh-what are you doing?" I asked. She smiled and tilted my head forward. Then she gathered all my hair and put it into a ponytail. "Oh thanks," I said chuckling to myself.
"You needed your hair out of your face." She put me back down and sat back in her chair.
I opened the envelope to see a notebook piece of paper.
Ashley,
We are only paying for three days after that your paying for the rest.
I sighed and stuck the paper back into the envelope. "You okay?" Richie asked. I handed her the note. She read it and frowned. "I can help pay."
"Oh no I would never ask you of that!" I said she smiled and got out her wallet then she took out some bills and gave them to me. I rolled my eyes and took it. "I am going to pay you back you know that right."
"You can try," She smiled. The Dr. came in and walked over to us.
"So do you think that we should do the surgery right now?" He said. Well if I do it right now then the cancer probrally won't spread.
"Now is fine."
"Okay so we are going to put you to sleep and the surgery is going to take about 3 hours." Then he exited the room.
"Are you nervous?" Richie asked. I never really got nervous, I think the only reason why I would be nervous is if my parents were here.
"No, not really." She looked suprised.
"Why?"
"I know I will be fine," I said with a smile.
"What would make you nervous?"
"Do you want the truth?"
"YES!"
"Okay honestly if my parents were here."
"What are you worried about?"
"Okay you promise you won't tell anyone this?" she nods and leans in. "Ever since I could walk I waited on them, like a slave, same with my brother. If we don't listen to them they take something away. They scare me." She frowned and it was silent. She sat back and thought for a moment. Her frown turned into a smile.
"What?"
"You can move in with me, I am sure my parents will be fine with it if I tell them why."
"I can't leave my brother. "
"He can come to! You can be in my room and he can be in my brothers room!" So it's true she does have a brother.
"What will my parents do?"
"If they protest then my parents will go to the police." I smiled, this could actually work!
I hugged her just as the Dr. walked in. As they wheeled me away she shouted good luck.
