Chapter 6

~Richie~

I finally had my brothers and my room finished. I felt relieved,  but still something was missing. Oh ya what about Ashley still being in a coma for the past month. The doctors kept saying and saying, "She will wake up soon,  don't worry! "  It made me irritated.

I walk into my room and tidy some things up. Suddenly my phone rings, I pick it up without seeing who it is.

"Hello?"

" Hi this is the doctor for Ashley Vancouver-" It's the doctor! What's the news going to be?!? "I just called to say that we have some great news! Ashley has woken up!" I almost dropped my phone.

"Really?!? Can I come down there right now?"

"Of course!" I hung up, I felt so happy. I rushed into my brothers room.

"Caleb, Sean! She's awake!" I screamed. They hopped up and we ran to the car. I got to drive and it felt good too knowing that she still can relax at my house.

We arrive at the room, right when I start to open the door a nurse blocks my path. The same nurse that told me about Ashley's coma.

"Sorry you can't come in here." she said looking at all of us.

"The doctor said we could," I said. She thought for a moment.

"Okay she's excited to see you, " she backs out of the way. There I see poor Ashley, still in the dark brown ponytail. Her green eyes looked tired,  but she jad a smile on her face.

Sean runs pass me, "I have missed you so much!" Sean says with a big smile while hugging her.

"Me too! Where's mom and dad?" I see her smile fade.

"Not around anymore! Richie had us move out!" he turns to me. Ashley makes eye contact with me.

"You made it happen," she said with a smile, "Come over here." She opens her arms and I hug her. She whispers,  "Thank you, " I smile as tears roll down my eyes.

She's awake! She's finally awake, after all that time. Now she is safe.
