ANGELICA'S POV

It was Saturday. The night I went out to dinner with Thomas. The night I went out to dinner with my boss. Who could do anything to me if I did something wrong. The more I thought about it, the more anxious I became.
I cleared the thoughts away and walked over to the restaurant where I was meeting him. I was wearing a casual dress with some heels, my hair flowing behind me.
I walked into the restaurant and looked around for Thomas. I noticed him at a table near the back. I smiled a little bit and walked over to the table.

THOMAS' POV

I was sitting at the table, waiting for Angelica to arrive. All of a sudden, the sound of the door opening and closing broke through my nervous thoughts. I looked over at the door and saw Angelica.
   Wow.
She looked amazing. Like she always did, but tonight... tonight she looked even better.
She noticed me, and smiled at me. That's a good sign, right? Come on, I thought you were the woman expert, Thomas. She walked over to me. I silenced my thoughts quickly.
"Hi, sir." She said, sitting down. "Please, it's Thomas. None of that sir stuff, it makes me feel like an army general." I said, jokingly, praying silently that she had a good sense of humor.
To my luck, she laughed. God I love her laugh. I mean what?
We were silent for what seemed forever. I wracked my brain for something to say. Hey how bout this weather? No, too cheesy. Damn you fiiiiiine, girl. No, too fuckboyish. Jesus Christ, what happened to me being 'woman wooer extraordinaire'?
The waiter came up and we ordered our drinks and food.
"So... this is awkward." I said, breaking the silence.
"You think?" She said sarcastically, but still good naturally.
(I don't know how to spell give me a break jfc)
I laughed a little bit. "Yeah." And then the silence consumed us once more.
After the waiter came with our drinks, we started talking a bit more. "So, how are things lately, with your sisters?" I asked her.
Her face lit up. I guess she loved talking about her sisters. "They're doing great. Peggy just graduated college, she's openly pansexual, and she's moving to California. And Eliza, she's living nearby. She just came out to our family about being bisexual. She got her masters degree two years ago and she's working on opening an orphanage."
I grinned at the news, genuinely happy for her and her sisters. "That's wonderful. So two Schuyler sisters are part of the LGBTQ community?"
"All three, actually. I'm bisexual." She informed me. And I didn't know this, how?
"That's great." Good, at least she's still interested in guys, so I'm not fully off the chart just yet.
"And you? How's James doing?" Angelica asked. James Madison is my best friend, has been and will be forever.
"He's doing okay, he was diagnosed with lung cancer a couple months ago, but he'll be fine." I said with a small smile. As much as I knew that he'd be okay, I was still worried about him.
"I'm glad he'll be okay. That would be awful if something happened. I knew he had a problem with his lungs in college, but I didn't think it was this serious." Wait, what?
"You knew him in college?" I raised an eyebrow and took a sip from my drink. "Yeah, we went to the same one before he transferred to Virginia. We had a couple classes together." She smiled.
"I had no idea." I said. If I had visited the college, then I might've met Angelica sooner, and we'd have more of a chance to be together.
We talked a bit more about some other subjects, and the waiter came over with our food. We thanked him and he was on his way.
Halfway through our meal, a man came up to our table. He didn't work here, but it was obvious that his attention was on Angelica. "Angie?" He asked.
Angelica looked at him and her face dropped. "Oh, John, hi." She knew him.
Uh oh.

HEHEHEHEHHEHEHE CLIFFHANGER TIME MWAHAHAHA. Yeah so sorry I didn't continue, I was busy (aka lazy dammit). So there'll be a part two coming up shortly(I PROMISE). (OH AND SPOILER ALERT: ITS NOT JOHN LAURENS

And fun fact relating to James in college. Alexander couldn't fast track through Princeton because a student did that before and had a nervous breakdown. That student was James Madison.
It made me laugh idk. That's all for now!
