I stand there dumbfounded. What the hell was going on? I leaned on the camera a little as I shook my head. My glasses slipped off my face. For some reason I just stood there and stared at them. I don't know what was going on with this entire endeavor, but I'm not sure if I like it or not. I mean, I have my girl and all, and my friends are still the same as ever. I wonder how it is back home...
I walk out of the garage and lock the door. The keys are set back into the drawer, with other keys, just to make them seem unimportant. I can't afford to let anyone find out about this. I forget to even change out of my clothes, and pass out as soon as I hit the pillow, but my dreams were not as pleasant as the bed felt.
--(〜^∇^)〜 DREAMWORLD --
I'm in the garage working on the machine. I step onto the first platform and see the blinding light again as it takes me over. My eyes close as I feel myself become weaker. Is this a side-effect? I think to myself. I awake within my house again, on the second platform. I stand and hold my hand to my head. My hair falls in my face and I start to panic. I quickly run into the house to see that I'm Kimberly again, not Kameron. A smile makes it's way onto my face, but it falls quickly as my front door is knocked down by something. Two strange men in suits appear, along with four other men in heavy armor and guns. My hands instinctively rise up. "Kimberly Lynn Hombs," says one of the men in a suit. "Yes? What do you want with me?" I reply in a shaky and confused voice. "Take us to the machine of yours." My eyes widen and I gulp. How do they know? I lead them into the garage. The door was still wide open where I left it. The men with gun and armor stay outside the door, while the men in suits inspect the machine a bit closer. One of the starts talking into a microphone of some sort and the other messes the buttons on the first machine. He pushes the red button and I scream. "NO! NOT THAT ONE!" But it was too late. The bright light fills the room.
When I awake all of the men were non the ground and passed out cold, including the ones with armor. I panic and look around, wondering how I'm supposed to get them all to wake up without making it seem like I knocked them out. I heard footsteps coming towards me. A dark and gruff voice said, "PUT YOUR HANDS UP!" I did as I was told and attempted to stand. They asked me questions like "What happened?" and "Did you do this?" When I started for the machine to explain I heard a gun shot and everything went red...
--(〜^∇^)〜 REAL WORLD --
I wake up in cold sweats with a gasp. My heart is pounding out of my chest as I check the window for any cars on the road. When I see that nothing was on the street I settle back into bed. My eyes drift close again as the darkness envelopes me once more.

OKAY. So when I wrote this it was the beginning of June. It is now the middle of July and I feel so bad. I made a decision to not post any more chapter until I had the book completely written, and now that that is done I can finally post! I'll update once a week from now on. I feel like maybe that would help me a lot in this endeavor.
Yes, I am disappointed in myself for taking so long, but I got caught up with other summer projects, and doing things with friends that the inspiration got cut off. I hope you understand, oh loyal reader. Please forgive me, and vote, comment, and share!
Thanks! ~ AshCat15
