As soon as Lauren made her point clear in the kitchen, she went back to the brunette on the couch and guided her to her dorm before slipping in her own and getting ready to take a shower.
After the much needed shower Lauren went downstairs to find Stacy behind her laptop. Probably looking for the brunette filed as a missing person
"Any luck on finding her?" Lauren asks taking an apple from the fruit basket. "Not yet, I've checked every missing person that should be around her age right now but no one matches her profile."
"So you're saying she's not from around here." Lauren guesses, taking a bite from her apple.
"No she isn't, I have to go trough the national database but that's impossible without her full name." Stacy explains patting Lauren in the process. "So get that name for me."
She was hoping to get that name too herself. The laptop not being occupied now Lauren sat behind it going to google. Typing in names that start with ca.
"Caroline." Nod heey didn't look like a Caroline. Cali, Camila, Callie, Cage. That would be a cruel one. Lauren thinks by herself as she scrolls further down the page.
"Carmen." Lauren says out loud wondering if that suits her. "Who's carmen?" Rose asks, walking over to the fridge.
"Not sure." Lauren ponders, she finds it a weird name. "Is it French?" Lauren asks vaguely remembering a Stromae song named carmen or something like that.
"I believe it's Spanish actually." Rose replied, making Lauren turn around in her chair to face her.
"Is camren Spanish?" Lauren asks shaking her head in disbelief. Making Rose roll her eyes, how could the stubborn girl think she knew something better than her when she couldn't even pronounce it right.
"It's carmen yo. And yes it's Spanish." She laughed at Lauren's dismissive hands before walking out of the kitchen.
Deciding there were way too many names starting with Ca, she figured she should visit the infamous Ca instead. Maybe she would tell her her name, it would save a search.
To her surprise she finds the girl sitting straight up in her bed. Her hair is out of her face while she focusses on a branch that is twirling around in between her fingers.
Lauren cleared her throat making her presence known. The girl quickly hides the branch in between her knees and chest as she curls up in a ball.
"No, está bien. You can go outside whenever you want." Lauren insist taking a seat at the end of the bed. The brunette looks up and gazed into her eyes, locking them for the second time. And for the second time they form this fuzzy feeling in her abandonment.
But the brunettes eyes quickly shoot down, making Lauren frown. She watched the girl swift uncomfortably, as Lauren got back on her feet to walk over to the closet.
"You can speak English, can't you?" Lauren stated making there brunette turn in her direction looking at her in fear. "What I don't get is why you don't want anyone to know that." Lauren wondered out loud. She hoped the brunette would answer is, but she wasn't surprised when she was being ignored.
Lauren went back to the brunette, now with a new pack of clothes and towel in her hand. "Don't worry your secret is safe with me." Lauren winked at her before she picked the brunette up and walked them to the showers.
"You don't want to talk with me?" Lauren wondered, checking the heath of the water before pointing the shower head in her direction.
Slowly all the dirt flushed away as Lauren began to rinse her body. She was grateful that she didn't complain when Lauren started taking her clothes off. The girl did protest when Lauren made a move on her underwear, but that Lauren could understand.
"If you don't want to talk with me, than I will talk with you." Lauren smiled.
"For starters, I bet you want to know where you are." Lauren starts. Lauren felt more comfortable after the elder woman explained everything to her, and she gladly wanted the brunette to feel that too. She turns the girls body around so she can clean her back. "It's an old factory we live in but, as you can see, it's all renovated." She continues as she moves the hair that's sticking to the girls' back away.
"It's all renovated and has room for 41 girls right now, but that number could easily be doubled." She feels the brunette shudders under her contact and Lauren figures that the water must be too hot, making her turn the temperature down a bit.
She gets the shampoo to wash the girls hair, something that really needed to be done. It was weird for Lauren to do all of it, never in her life has she washed someone. "Everyone lives here because they've survived, in this house you have the opportunity to live. One day you'll feel just like us, and I'll be staying by your side until you're there, okay?" Lauren says turning the brunette around once again.
Lauren smiles at her when they're face to face, one that doesn't get returned. Instead she nods in response, making Lauren's smile grow even wider. It was at least some sort of response, she needed to be optimistic right now.
"C'mon C, we got lots of things to do today." She wrapped the towel around the girls fragile body and guided her out of the bedroom.
Lauren slipped her arm under the brunette so she could still hold her tight to her body. Something where she belonged.
