The dark shade of red covering her toenails reminded her of many things. The first reminder was from her mother, whom would always paint her nails when she was younger. The total opposite was the memory of dry blood on her feet and nails. Blood that fell down from her bruised cheeks after he had multiple times hit her.

She had told Lauren a lot of things, almost everything now. There was one part she hadn't told her yet, for a reason.

It wa the hardest thing for her to talk about.

This was the moment she had to decide, the silence that grew upon time was leading in the end of the conversation. She knew Lauren would not have an open heartedly conversation like this with her every day. She would've to speak up now for them not to have a reason to have another open heartedly conversation any time soon.

Or, option two, she could break the silence. Throwing it out in the world, clearing her heart and mind of her burdens. It has to be cleared for her to move on, she knows that. She really knows that. Only she wants to skip the part of where the words have to float out of her mouth before she can move on.

"Lauren there's one thing I haven't told you yet." Camila spoke softly in a shy tone. Lauren nodded, she had been silent during the whole conversation.

"It was after a few days that he came to see me, calling me Sadie. At first I thought he confused me for a Sadie, that that was the reason I was down there. I tried to Lorin out his mistake only to realize he wasn't mistaken. He forced me to become a Sadie, at times I refused, or didn't do it as I was told. He would get upset. He would get physical until I'd admit that my name is Sadie, that I'm his niece from relatives  that lived far in Nevada. I'd be there to spent the summer. I obliged almost every time, trying to avoid the beating. Until one day I couldn't take it anymore,"

She had to take a small break to get her breathing back under control. She gazed over at Lauren who couldn't control her emotions anymore, a few tears were running down her cheeks. Something they shared.

Her hands roamed over the wall, searching for something that isn't there. Searching for an answer. Searching for an escape. It was stupid to think there would be some sort of  hidden doorway. Her mother told her those only existed in movies, but this seemed quite the move scene for her.

She knocked on the wall, hoping to hear a hollow sound. Instead of an echo it was someone clearing her throat.

In a second she turned around, her eyes darting to the ground. "What do you think you were doing?" He spat.

"Answer me, Sadie."

"My name's Camila." Immediately she could feel her cheek burning in pain. He had slapped her with the back of his hand, and it was already positioned to do it again. "One last chance, what's your name?"

"Camila Camila Camila Cam-"

Her body was forced with much power against the wall, causing a loud thud. No, the wall was definitely not hollow. Two hands forcing its way around her neck, tightening their grip, caused her to fall silent. On top of that, it made it impossible for her to breathe. She tried to get out of his hold. But he was a very strong man, even though his petite frame wouldn't suggest that. He lifted her with ease against the wall, her feet  bungling under her.

He was shouting, that she could hear. But the words were unknown to her. The lack of oxygen causing her to get dizzy, the m room around her started to get unfocused as she tried her best to get out of his grip.

He must have felt she didn't have the energy anymore to fight back, as he readjusted his hands. Giving her the opportunity to take deeper breaths. The dizziness was still there, only her eyes were able to take in the room again. Making it possible for her to see the door that was now wide open.

With all the power she could provide she kicked him in his balls. His hand quickly covering the space, thinking it would ease the pain. She didn't think twice before making it a go, running as fast as she possibly could to her freedom.

It was that he recovered fast, maybe there wasn't much downstairs that needed to recover. The hand that once covered his grudge was now getting a hold of her hair, forcing it down causing her to scream in pain. His feet kicked the door close as he threw her on her mattress, one that felt like it was filled with rocks.

There was no time to escape, his arms had already trapped her, as he was pinning her down on the bed. One arm hastily moved over to his pants, in a hurry trying to open his button as fast a possible. "This is your own fault Sadie. You hurt it so you have to make it feel better."

She only had underwear to wear, so in one swift move he had access to everything he wanted. "Everything is your fault Sadie. All of this." He panted, entering her causing more pain than any of the physical harm she previously endured.

Camila abruptly stopped talking when Lauren got up from the bed. Not sparing her a look. Was she horrified of her now? Was she ashamed? It must have been something for her to start pacing around the bed.

"How many times." Lauren choked out, not sure if she wanted to hear it.

"Lauren.."

"Answer me." Lauren ordered in a harsh tone, surprising the brunette. Quickly she joined her on the bed. She took her hands in her own, as an apology for her outburst.

"I lost track after a while." Lauren nodded. Taking everything in. The past hour came with an ocean of information, hitting her right in the face like a tsunami. She needed time to sort everything out, to come to realize that Camila  was carrying more burdens than she could possibly burn.

But someone was quick to throw it in her face the next time they would meet, lucky for her that facing that someone was going to wait until the evening. Making it possible for Lauren to take Camila with her to a restaurant, celebrating as if a new door had opened its passage.

Only they'd come to realize tonight the door was going to be slammed in their faces. Not only falling in its lock, but it was being spiked and locked. Mailing it impossible for them to get trough. At least not together.
