A few days later
"What are you laughing at?" Alesia asked. Her eyes focusing on the small screen in Lauren's hand. Hoping to find the cause as Lauren shrugged it off once again.
Next thing she knows Lauren gets up from the couch, taking a phone call as she skips out to the balcony. She doesn't start talking until she's outside.
She knew Lauren was cheating on her, she knew what she was signing up for when she started dating her. Never had she been faithful in a relationship, even their relationship developed when Lauren was still dating Holly. How much she fucking hated that ginger head Holly.
But this was different.
This was Lauren whom would be all day on her phone but mysteriously still didn't text you back. Someone who doesn't giggle, someone who doesn't text to text you unless she needs you and definitely not someone that will go outside to take a call when she's watching a Cameron Diaz movie.
"Camila locked herself out," she had to do her best not to roll her eyes at the original excuse Camila gave. "I'm going to pick her up."
"You bringing the pizza's too?" She decided not to make a comment on that girl, she needed Lauren on her side if Camila was really joining them tonight. Instead she asked about something that really matters, the food.
"Sure." It was already muffled as Lauren was already walking out of the apartment
"Okay hun, no I'll be fine. I love you too." Alesia spoke in a sarcastic voice to no one, stuffing her mouth full of popcorn in misery.
"Hello again." Lauren greets as Camila steps in the car, shutting the door tight behind her. "Hi." The brunette was expectingly looking at her as she turned on the ignition.
"What is it?" She questioned, laughing at the girls odd behavior. "Nothing. Just drive." She spoke, resting her feet on the dashboard and her head against the cold glass of the windows. She had a clear vision on Lauren who was focused on the road.
"So what are you going to do during Christmas break? Going back to Miami?" Lauren tried to start a conversation as she grew uncomfortable under the brunettes stare.
"No I'm staying here, the tickets are way too expensive." Plane tickets are overall expensive, but when you see the prices during Christmas you'll go nuts. Especially when you're a student.
"So you're saying you're going to be all alone during Christmas?"
"Yes."
"Imma tell ya that sounds like the beginning of a horror story especially when I see your apartment." Camila rolled her eyes in response, since when was Lauren the dramatic one.
"I'm serious, Think about it." Lauren challenged when she didn't get the reaction out of the girl that she wanted.
"You know that you have it on yourself if I get scared during Christmas and make you come over."
"Unfornately for you I'm more up north. Visiting my aunt and nieces." She was taken by surprise that Karen brought up her family, she never did.
"Where do they live?" Camila continued the conversation as Lauren parked the car on the side of the road.
"Syracuse, have you been there?" Lauren asked, looking over to Camila to see her shaking her head in response.
"You should come with me." Lauren insisted as she opens the door for Camila to walk in the Domino's first.
"You're serious?" Camila asked, flabbergasted by the sudden invitation. It sounded like Lauren was going alone, but she wondered why her Lauren's own girlfriend didn't tag along. It's a question she will ask later, cause Lauren was already talking about the trip after ordering their pizzas.
"I need someone to keep me company." She shrugged, finishing the details of the trip. She wanted nothing more than Camila to join her.
It would not only be a dreading four hours car drive all alone, she also enjoys every minute she could spent with Camila.
As she was going to enjoy every minute for tonight too, she wondered how the two girls were going to act around each other. Lauren could only hope for them to get along.
But of course, she knew that would be too much to ask.
