Five past seven, not too bad for Lauren's doing.
She could already spot her girlfriend patiently waiting for her in the back of the restaurant. It wasn't that packed for a Friday night, making it possible to see her typing away on her phone.

Her hand is already laying on the door handle to push the door opens as she feels something vibrating against her skin. She can see the back of her phone as it goes off in her hand, the one that isn't on the handle.

She quickly turns it around, slightly surprised to see Camila's name popping up on the lock screen. She hasn't heard from her all day after her text.

She doesn't even have to think about what's happening next. Her hand falls loses contact from the door as she turns around, walking a bit further down the pavement to a quieter space. Her finger swiftly swipes to the right, answering the call, before putting it to her ear.

"Camila?" She questions, the words leaving her mouth for this purpose was still surreal to her. "Hi." Was the only thing she could hear, Lauren's anticipation grew as the girl didn't form another sentence.

"I'm sorry I shouldn't have called." The brunette hurriedly speaks, sounding very nervous. It made Lauren smile from ear to ear, it was kind of cute. "I'm glad you called." She replies in a sweet tone.

"Really?"

"Yeah I was thinking about you the whole day"

"I was wondering," she proposed, seeming less nervous. "there's this very good Chinese restaurant. We could get some diner, I mean only if you are free."

"No I'm," Lauren stopped gazing trough the window once again. "No I'm free, text me the address and I'll meet you there."

"Great!" Camila cheered from the other side of the line, "I mean cool." Lauren rolled her eyes at the dork on the other line. "Don't roll your eyes on me jauregui." She dared, a playful tone in her voice.

"Wait. How?" A laugh escaped her lips in surprise.

"Because I know you." It was a simple answer, but there was so much meaning behind it. It made Lauren's heart flutter.

After saying her goodbyes and ending the call Lauren didn't put the phone back in her pocket. Instead she opened iMessage, typing away to her girlfriend that she turned sick.

The second she sent it her girlfriend had read it, but stepping in the Chinese restaurant she still hasn't replied. Not that Lauren could blame her, it was a shitty move. But this meant too much to her. Camila meant too much to her.

She could already spot Camila, gazing trough the window.

A waiter interrupted her stare, laying down two menus on the table. Softly approaching the table she could hear him asking if she wants to order a drink.

"No I'll wait fo-" mid sentence Camila's eyes find hers, a smile forming on her face. "She's actually here." The look on her face makes Lauren almost thinks she's flustered.

She takes a seat at the table, smiling back at the brunette. She didn't know what to say, especially not with the impatient waiter next to her.

Camila didn't say anything either, she just laid her hand down on hers.
