It was perfect timed when Lauren stopped in front of Camila's apartment, the girl was just getting out of the building. Along with her overnight bags.

Quickly she got out, grabbing the heavy bags from Camila's hand and giving her two kisses. As Lauren sets them in the backseat Camila got back inside, coming back with a smaller bag.

"I bought snacks and drinks." She got in the car settling the bag in between her feet. Lauren closed the door for her, after making sure she was fully in the car.

It was seven in the morning, they had a long drive ahead of them and Lauren wanted to avoid most of the traffic jams. But it was Christmas break, there was no way she could avoid all the busy roads.

It was hectic to get out of New York, it took them two hours longer than planned. But now they had clear passage, being more in the country side.

For Lauren's luck the weather was on their side, there was only a bits of snow. And with the coffee can Camila brought with her it was easy for her to drive a few hours straight.

The only thing was that the brunette fell asleep almost immediately after leaving New York. At least Camila had kept her company in the slowest minutes of her life, but now it was rather quiet and boring.

She didn't want to put on the radio afraid that she would wake her up. But after a few more minutes she decided it wouldn't hurt to listen in a very low volume.

The sound of Camila humming to the song startled her, well actually it scared her to death. She looked horrified at the girl who had still her eyes closed when she spoke. "I love this song. Turn it up."

"You weren't sleeping?" Lauren questioned. Camila just shrugged, from the inside smiling knowing she scared the shit out of Lauren. "Just dozing off."

It was taking to long for her before Lauren turned the volume up so she did it herself. She stretched her arms first, a gape leaving her mouth. Hitting the volume up after, nodding her head on the beat of the music.

"I'm going to stop at the next gas station." Lauren informed as she watched her going trough some of the cd's in her car.

Camila didn't even acknowledge what she said, instead she waved a cd in her hand. "You must have stolen this car else you have to explain to me why this Nina Simone cd is in your car. It's from the previous owner, right?"

"All mine baby." Lauren answered laughing, taking the exit for the gas station.

"That'll be $70,05." The cashier informed, seeming bored and annoyed.

"Wait. And this." Before she knows it she feels Camila force herself past her, letting all the products fall on the counter. A deep sigh leaves the woman's mouth as she scans the rest of the products.

Camila watches her, satisfied with her candy hunt while Lauren elbows her in the ribs. "You sure we need all of this." Lauren asked, how could they possible eat all of that plus everything they have left in the car. "Yeah. I'm hungry." Camila responded as it was a stupid question.

"That'll be $86." Her voice was less enthusiastic as before, if that was even possible.

Camila was already making her way to the car with all the candy in her hands when Lauren finished paying.

Walking closer she saw the brunette watching her in amusement, but still acting as if she didn't just cost her $16 dollars of candy.

'You owe me' Lauren mouthed to her, crossing the car in the front to get to the driver seat.

'Razzle-dazzle, never gon' stop. What you want is what I got.'

Highly entertaining was it for Lauren to watch the brunette sing and dance in the smallest place imaginable.

'You wanna get down? You gotta get up. Don't be stingy with your big ol' butt. You gat a booty like WHOOA, wait a minute.'

Camila sang it directly to her using her hands to show the size of that big ol'butt Lauren has, making her burst out in laughter. The girl didn't have shame as she continued.

'I'm just playing with you.'
She playfully hit her shoulder while signing it, moving her chest form side to side while singing the next line. 'Loosen them shoulders up. Pour it up, let's work.'

Three honks followed shortly by one another that forced Lauren to look away from the brunettes chest, who had found the car that honked. It was driving right next to them, two creepy old man whom were licking their lips looking upon Camila.

Camila was frozen on her seat belt, perplexed by the sudden turn of event. While Lauren was cursing away. "Disgusting pigs." She groaned as she showed them their middle finger. Hitting the gas pedal to get away from them.

She turned the volume down as the atmosphere was completely ruined, she watched Camila who was still gazing out of the window. Not knowing what to say she grabbed the brunettes hand, happy when Camila pulled her hand further on her lap.

It must've been only a few minutes later when she felt Camila's side of her head against her arm. Their hands were still joined together as her other one made its way around her arm.

The view of landscapes were getting boring, the road was practically empty and the only eventful thing that happened was Camila moving against her from time to time.

She stifled a yawn while watching the brunette getting her rest, how much she wished they had already arrived so she could close her eyes too.

"I can't fall asleep if you're going to keep staring at me." It came out quiet, but it was enough for Lauren to immediately direct her gaze to the road.

"Do you always pretend to sleep or do you sometimes actually sleep?" Her cheeks where still a bit red by being caught staring. In response she only got a small laugh. The brunette turned once again, her hand lacing again with Lauren that she had let go while sleeping.

"Lauren I have to tell you something. It's urgent." The seriousness in Camila's voice scared her, her mind filling with worry and ideas already as she urged her to continue.

"I really really need to pee!"

"You're unbelievable." Lauren complained, rolling her eyes at the dramatic girl. Often she remind her so much of her old best friend Dinah, they would've gotten along pretty well.

Years later she often thinks back to the car road. To the thought Dinah and Camila would go along well but never thinking one day they actually would. It's crazy how everything went down after the drive, to her it was where it had all started. Often she longed to go back to those days, where everything was way more easy. Where she only had to worry about Camila and nothing else. No one else.

Things will get more messy after Christmas, so enjoy the fluff the next chapters while you still can.
