Ch. 14 Mr. Derek

YN's POV

After I talked to Daniel on the phone, I took a shower that I so badly needed, put some clothes on and felt a little better after last night.

I had to go visit Daniel today at any price! I didn't know how I was going to convince Michael to let me go, but I had to come up with something and do it now!

I couldn't lie to him or just leave through the window without telling him, because to tell the truth... I was a little scared of him.

When he first arrived home he seemed so sweet, tender and incapable of hurting a fly, but this morning he said some pretty scary things which made my blood freeze. On the one hand, I understood him a little since I did lie and broke the rules given by my parents and he's responsible for me. On the other hand, his sudden mood swing from being sweet to threatening, made me think twice about that guy.

Yet, he was so damn handsome...

Every inch of that man was divine. Even when he was threatening me, he was so sexy and not only did my body shiver with fear, but my womanhood got wet too.

There are so many times I wished he wasn't my cousin. But even if he wasn't, he's much older than me and I doubt he'd want a teenager in his life.

I headed for the living room to look for him.

He was in the kitchen, doing some work there.

"Michael?" I said softly.
"Yes?"
"Can I ask you.. something?"
"Yeah. What?" he put the dishes in the sink and approached me, rubbing his hands against the apron to dry them.
"I ahh... wanna ask for your permission to go see Daniel at the hospital." he sighed. I could tell he didn't like it so I added a little "Please!"
"I don't know, YN... I think you should rest and stay home. You almost died last night..."
"But it's really important! Just let me go see him and I promise I won't go anywhere else until you decide to let me! Please!" he hesitated for a moment then said
"Alright. But I'll come with you." I sighed in relief. "Let me just get ready."

After he got ready, we went to the car, got in and he drove off. We arrived there pretty quickly as our town was small.

I asked for Daniel's room and Michael helped me find it in this big hospital.

When we got to his room, we found him sleeping. Michael insisted that we leave, but I asked him to wait until he woke up. Michael agreed and said he was going to the cafeteria for some coffee. I stayed inside of Daniel's room, waiting for him to wake up. He was covered in some weird looking pipes and apparatuses that I was scared to even get close to. He had bandages everywhere and scratches on the face and neck area.

That damn beast...

I waited a few minutes and was running out of patience, so I decided to gently shake him.

"Daniel..." I whispered, trying to scare him "Wake up! I'm here!" he opened his eyes slowly.
"YN? Thank God you made it..." he whispered. I could tell his voice was weak.
"Yes.. how are you?"
"Never better!" he laughed silently, but quickly stopped as it caused him pain.  "Ouch.."
"Be careful.."
"Are you alone? Jess?"
"I'm with Michael. But he went to get some coffee."
"So we don't have much time..."
"No. He's really mad at me, Daniel! Not only did I lie to him, but I also put sleeping pills in his wine and he found out!"
"You put sleeping pills in his wine?!"
"Yes! So that I could leave the house without him noticing and have the whole night for.. you know what."
"And why is he mad I mean.."
"He came to pick me up from the forest! He must have waken up or something and-"
"Wait... you telling me that you put sleeping pills into the man's wine and then a few hours later, he just wakes up and comes to the forest to pick you up??"
"Yes!"
"And how the hell did he wake up?"
"I don't know..."
"Maybe the effect of the pills wore off?"
"But I put a high doses!"
"You know what.. screw how he woke up. The problem is, how did he find out that you gave him pills..."
"I don't know that either."
"You got cameras home?"
"Hell no! Are you crazy!"
"Then how??"
"I don't know, Daniel. We got a much more serious problem. Should I remind you about the werewolf??? You have no idea about the demon it is... I looked it in the eyes!"
"What?!!"
"It was standing so close in front of me!" I lowered closer to Daniel "I looked into his eyes! I could hear it breath and growl! I could feel the cold air around it and me! It's presence like the presence of the Devil! I still remember everything, Daniel! Every second! I could never fo-"

"So you looked the beast into its eyes..." we heard a husky, heavy voice that sounded like the voice of an old man. Me and Daniel froze for a second as someone had heard our crazy conversation. We slowly turned around and I saw Mr. Derek, and the opened door next to him. I had forgotten to close the damn door!

Mr. Derek was the oldest man in this town and everyone thought he was insane. If he said that he had talked to us about the 'beast', people would think that me and Daniel are crazy too! Our parents could send us to clinics and all that crazy stuff!

Deny it, YN. Deny it.

"What beast, Mr. Derek?" I tried to sound natural "What are you talking about?" I winked at Daniel.
"Yeah.." he laughed "We were talking about the new song.. 'beast' you know.. it's heavy metal... and it's my favorite."
"Yeah mine too!" Mr. Derek didn't seem quite convinced. He stepped in the room and silently closed the door behind him with eyes focused on us. I froze in fear. Could he be the.... b-beast? "Ahh.. Mr. Derek?"
"The beast with the black, shiny fur." he begun and I could feel his heavy voice making my chest tremble "The beast with the sharp white fangs and long, strong claws, sharp as a knife." I gulped. He was giving an accurate description... "The beast with the icy eyes in which the silver moon shines."

It was like I was seeing it again in front of me while he was describing! I was ice cold and my heart was racing in my chest.

"And those eyes... have the power to hypnotize you."
"H-How do you k-know.." I stuttered as he was describing the beast without making even one mistake. Was he the beast??!! He was old, but really weird and everyone knew he's crazy, so why not!!?? Mr. Derek started approaching us and every muscle in my body tensed up.
"Stay away!" Daniel said, looking for the little device with the button to call the nurse.
"I know, because I've seen it." Daniel dropped the device on the floor and I dropped my jaw. He has seen the beast? "I've seen the werewolf."
