Cara and Tristan decided to sleepover while Ezekiel didn't apparently he has a date with this lady, I wonder who that person is. "I best be going my loves" he announced, he kissed my squinted forehead "Who's this girl again, Nicholas?" I questioned him, his eyes lit up and his mouth gave me a full on smile "Ababa. I'll introduce you soon." I was too occupied thinking on who the girl could be, Cara ran towards Ezekiel and gave him a hug and a very loud cheering of good lucks. Wait what? Does she have any idea who he's dating right now?
"Cara.." bulong ko "Bakit kung maka-cheer ka dyan? Kilala mo ba?" she shook her head, "Hindi ko kilala pero I'm happy for him kasi madalas MU lang. Achievement na ito para sa lokong to" bulong nyang pabalik. Nang umalis si Ezekiel ay biglang tumahimik sa bahay, nanunuod lang kami habang si Cara ay may ka-text kung sino sa aking gilid. Siniko ko sya "We're watching. Stop texting" I pinched her, she laughed "Heh. Wag kang magulo, alam ko na yung mangyayari dyan. Manuod na kayo, kwarto lang ako" agad tumayo si Cara at pumunta kwarto ko. Who is she freaking speaking to?
The movie ended and I was already half asleep, Tristan approached me and spoke in a hushed tone "Aviana. Can I tell you something?" the sleepy feeling suddenly left my body, I sat down properly and gave him a thumbs up, "Of course, Tristan. Ano yon?" He couldn't speak, I was giving him weird looks already, I was making funny faces too "E..li..as.., ano na ba yung sasabihin mo?" tatayo na sana ako ng hinawakan nya ang braso ko. Tinignan ko sya ng masama "magsasalita kaba o magtitigan tayo?"
"You know what? Never..fucking..mind" sabay lakad nyang palayo, I was amazed on how pissed he was at me? Was he mad at me? What did I do now? Hinabol ko sya, papunta sya ng garden ko, hinabol ko sya at hinawakan "What's your problem? Just tell me, I'm your friend. Tropa di ba?" I was so worried, what got him pissed. No respond, so I spoke again "Work problem? Internship? Hirap kana bas a med-school? Speak." With authority ko yun inutos sa kanya, he was still looking at my hand holding his arm, I quickly released the grip of my fingers on his arms. I was sleepy, I didn't have the time to go around chasing him and asking him what's wrong, I asked him several times.
"If you're not comfortable in opening up to me or sharing it with me, it's okay Tristan. I hope you know that we're here for you, alright? Whatever it is." Paalis na akong ng garden ng bigla syang nagsalita "I think I'm falling for you Aviana. I'm sorry."
Napalingon ako sa kanya ng mabilis, sumikip ang dibdib ko. Did I hear it right? Did I hear him right? He's falling in love with me? Ako? Sa akin? Is he serious? It can't be. Hindi pwede ito, nag-loloko ata sya. "Is this a joke? Are you freaking kidding me, Elias!?" sigaw ko sa kanya, agad akong lumapit sa kanya at inalog sya. This man is killing me with his nonsense.
He shook his head, I was in the verge of tears when he pulled me closer to him and gave me a hug. I cried, I didn't know what to say or how to respond. I didn't want our friendship to go to waste. I looked at him "Tristan..I'm sorry pero-" He cut me off and nodded "I know..you don't have to feel the same" I saw tears in his eyes as well. Kaya mas lalo ko syang niyakap nun. I'm sorry, Tristan.
