"It's 10:09, Ms. Aviana." Naka simangot na sabi ni Levi, hindi ko alam kung paano mag sisimula, mag-sosorry na naman ba ako? Puro na lang ata, pasensya at pagiging pasakit ko dito kay Levi. This is so unprofessional. This is so unlike you, Aviana. Get your grip together.
I didn't know what to say or do, I was just there standing still in front of him, I didn't move one bit. I was so embarrassed, AGAIN. "Sir, I'm so unprofessional. I'm sorry, I deserve every bit of your sermon. Magalit kana Levi bilis." Umangat yung tingin ko sa kanya, he was smiling. Huh? Bakit? Anong sinabi ko na nagpa-ngiti sa kanya? Hindi ko alam but I felt relieved, thank you Lord.
"Let's go to the meeting room. Meeting's at 10:30" halos sakalin ko si Levi sa sinabi nya, 10:30 pa pala ang meeting, halos pinalipad ko yung sasakyan ko kanina para hindi akong malate, and the way he made a big deal about 10:09, yun pala, I'm 21 minutes early. Nang hindi ko mapigilan ang aking bibig sa pagka-asar sa kanya, hinawakan ko yung braso nya at tinigil sa pag lalakad, "Levi..I mean sir, I thought the meeting will be held at 10am? Bakit po 10:30 na ngayon?" Naka-kunot ang aking noo. "I needed you at 10 sharp but you weren't here so." He removed my hand from his arm and continued walking.
The meeting went on for 2 hours straight, no breaks no anything. It was exhausting. We finished at 1pm, Alicel and Gregoria were with me, but unlike me they were still very energetic. They kept on giggling and making wacky faces, what's with them? "Alicel, ang pogi nung naka-grey tux right? Super masculine. I love it." Napa-iling na lang ako, boy-hunting again, "Pwede na, pero mas gusto ko yung naka white and dark blue na long sleeves. Hottie yun talaga" "Ano ngang pangalan nun, Aviana?" Tinitigan ko lang sila, ayaw ko makisali sa mga ganyan nila pero wala kong magawa kundi sagutin yun mga tanong nila.
"AH. Nathan, Sir Nathan. Sya nga pala yun. I remember him" halos pasigaw na sabihin ni Alicel habang kumakain kami, tawa sila ng tawa ni Gregoria. Habang ako naman ay sobrang occupied, I don't know what's happening to me. I've been off lately. Do I need some more time off? Binatukan ako ni Gregoria, kanina pa pala nila ko kinakausap,
"Hoy, Aviana Lux! Nabinggi kana ba?"
"Oo nga, kanina ka pa namin kinakausap dyan!" Kurot sa akin ni Gregoria.
"Uh? Hindi ano nga yon ulit?" Tanong ko.
"During the meeting, when Jayce was batting off your ideas and designs. Why do you think he was rejecting all of it?" Oh yes, I forgot. Jayce was being a complete jerk when I was presenting
my designs for the building. I tried to remember what he said during the meeting
"The lobby is too wide"
"The hallways are too compressed"
"When you designed this building were you stressed? Broken hearted? There is no love, no passion."
I looked at my designs and thought about it. Being a well-known Architect was and still my dream but since the incident, I've decided to step on that dream. To let go of that dream, not for them but for myself.
