*Kyoko's pov*

Finally the day arrived for Byakuya's parents to come and visit us. We had had Lydia for about 4 weeks now. She may only be coming up for a month old but she really had started to show her personality, she seemed to be more like Makoto. But she looked a lot more like me, even down to my pale lilac hair.

It was a Saturday and so only Asahina worked, but she was getting off at lunch time so she could be here when Byakuya's parents showed up. Everyone else was cleaning and I was making sure Lydia would be okay, so I had just changed and fed her. She seemed happy so I put her down on her play mat thing in the living room so I could help out. We had decided that Toko would be Byakuya's pretend girlfriend because she could show affection towards him and make it look convincing.

I was, in the end, asked if I could start cooking lunch. We were having a cooked lunch which was going to consist of a whole chicken and mashed potatoes with some sort of vegetables. We were going to have a roast but I couldn't prepare all of that stuff for 7 people, so we agreed to have something more simple.

They were surposed to be here at 11 and it was now 10 so we were all fine for time. The house was already fairly tidy and I had put the chicken in to roast. I did hear Lydia crying a bit but she was now quite so someone was probably entertaining her. Now I was done in the kitchen I decided to go and tidy my room as they may look in. Even though they shouldn't they might.

After tidying that I got my murder case file and went into the living room. Whilst I was child free I was going to catch up on some work that I probably wouldn't have time to do tonight. Byakuya actually had Lydia and was looking after her so I sat down on the opposite sofa and started to go through the file again. There must be something I was missing, because I wasn't any closer to discovering the killers identity. There came a loud knock at the front door and Byakuya looked at me.

"I'm not getting it" I told him as I went back to reading the reports.

"Fine" he sighed as he picked up Lydia and carried her to answer the front door.

I heard the door open and Byakuya invite someone in. It must be his parents, I thought to myself as I carried on reading.

"She's a lovely baby" I heard a woman say, she sounded simular to the one who I spoke on the phone with, Cara.

"She's not mine" Byakuya told them quickly "She's my friends"

They then came into the living room and I slowly looked up from the report.

"Kyoko these are my parents Cara and Landon, mum dad this is Kyoko one of the people who I now live with" he told them.

I closed the report and got up to shake their hands.

"This must be your beautiful child" Cara said to me.

"Yes she's mine" I replied as Byakuya handed her to me.

"What's her name?" Landon asked.

"Lydia" I told them.

"Lovely name are you and the father still?" She asked.

"Yes we are still together, he's around somewhere" I said as I thought about where he could be.

Byakuya then took them to have a look around the house. They seemed nice enough and as I sat back down again Toko and Makoto came in.

"Where have you two been?" I asked them.

"Master Byakuya asked me to clean the bath room" Toko told me.

"I was on the phone to my boss about work" Makoto said.

"Sounds great well I need to check on the dinner so can you look after Lydia?" I asked them.
