*Kyoko's pov*

We found some shelter under a few trees out of the way from any potential danger.

Komaru, Nori and Buster had all crashed and fell into a deep sleep, it had been a busy day and we would need the rest. Nita also joined them but kept an ear open to see if we did anything else or if we were attacked.

Soul was sat alone, thinking probably, and I was with Toko.

"Are you okay?" I asked her.

She looked at me and sighed "why did we bring three young idiots?"

"Because they were willing to come with us and they are also fast and reliable" I replied.

"B-but they have so much more life to live before they die"

"Not really, no one has any purpose or things to do anymore" I sighed.

".... I guess that's true" she replied.

"Well that's just how it is" I told her as I got up.

"W-where are you going?"

"No where special" I replied as I began to walk off.

"Koko!" Soul shouted at me.

I turned and looked back at him.

"It's dangerous out there!"

"I know, I'm not going far just need to clear my head. Nita!" I called.

She shot up and came to me, "I'll be back soon" I told them both as I left.

I took Nita into a large building and the pair of us climbed the stairs to the roof. On the roof I sat down on the edge and hung my legs over. Nita sat beside me and looked off in the same direction I was looking. I couldn't see much but the occasional light from humans or maybe a Monokuma.
Nita whimpered as she looked back in the direction where the rest of the family would be.

"You know Nita when Roma brought you back to us I had my doubts and concerns. We had lost Wolf and I wasn't sure if having another dog would be good for us and also you were so small and weak." I smiled as I thought about how little she was, "but none the less I kept you, mostly it was down to Roma. You have proven useful and definitely deserve your keep but we all put you in danger of dying. I'll never understand dogs and why they live to please humans but you are a good dog"

Through the whole conversation she looked at me with her head tilted to one side. I knew she probably didn't understand me but she made it look convincing like she did.

"One thing though Nita, if anything happens to me I want you to go and look after Makoto and the kids, they would need you. Actually if any of us die on this trip please comfort the family who they meant a lot to, it would help them"

She tilted her head further to the left and then wagged her tail, I smiled at stroked her. I took off my gloves so I could feel her fur properly, eventhough I couldn't really feel much anymore with my hands. She whinned as I tickled her under her chin and then she moved and lick my hands.

We spent a little longer on the roof until the moon was directly above us, then I decided that we should head back. Especially if Toko and Soul were waiting up for our return. Again we saw nothing in our trip back to camp, sure enough everyone came into view.

Toko and Soul were both still sat there waiting for me and the other three hadn't even noticed that we had disappeared.

"Where have you been!" Soul scolded me when he saw me and Nita.

"I told you I needed some time alone" I replied.

"I know you did but we were worried about you" he said more calmly as he got up and hugged me.
