*Kyoko's pov*
Back in the room we all sat on the far side so we could talk without waking up any of the kids. Toko was back but none of us stayed awake for too long as we were tired and knew that tomorrow some of us would be sent out.
I slept on the floor with Makoto, Toko and Byakuya whilst Asahina squashed into the same bed as Lydia and Roma. Nori shared a bed with Avery and Wolf was lying in the corner away from us.
It was probably the very early hours of the morning when I was woken up by a damp nose. I slowly woke up and saw Wolf looking down at me, he never ever woke us up during the night. He was standing over me so I lifted my hand to stroke him and he moved off me. I sat up and moved away from Makoto as to not wake him before standing up. Wolf looked up and me and quietly moved towards the door. He stood sniffing it and then looked back and me before whinning. I sighed as I knew that if he carried on someone was bound to be woken up. Slowly he came back to me and grabbed my top in his mouth before tugging at it. This was extremely odd behaviour for him but he seemed stressed and desperate so I followed him to the door. There he jumped onto his back legs and put his paw on the handle. I looked at him and in his deep brown eyes he wanted to tell me something. I unlocked the door and went to opened it, Wolf dropped down back onto all fours and watched me. Cautiously I opened the door and out in the corridor thick black smoke filled it. I could smell burning and in the distance the sound of cracking fire as it tore through the base. I shut the door and looked at Wolf who had his tail tucked under his body. He must have smelt it and woken me up to warn us.
Quickly I rushed back to where Makoto, Toko and Byakuya lay sleeping before with shaky hands I woke up Makoto. He looked at me confused and swiftly I moved on and woke both Byakuya and Toko. They both gave me a look and then I got up and ran over to Lydia, Roma and Asahina to wake them all up. Once they were awake I got the two boys up as well. Wolf was still by the front door whimpering and cowering.
"What's going on?" Asked Byakuya.
"We need to leave now" I told them.
"Why, it's the middle of the night?" Asahina asked sleepily.
"She probably had a bad dream" laughed Byakuya.
"Wolf woke me up and showed me that out there in the base there is an out of control fire" I told them.
"Why is there no fire alarms?" Asked Makoto.
"I-I suppose fire safety isn't the biggest problem at the moment" stuttered Toko.
"We can't just sit around asking all these questions we need to get out of here!" Asahina shouted at us.
"She's right come on let's get out of here" I said as I picked up Roma.
"Lydia hold Nori's hand and don't let go" I told her.
She nodded and went over to Nori who took her hand in his. Makoto came over to me and then took Roma from me.
"Get Wolf" he told me.
I nodded and grabbed his lead and clipped it onto his collar. Byakuya had Avery in his arms, Toko and Asahina had picked up what little stuff we had left.
Me and Wolf were first to the door so we could check outside. The fire was closing in fast but we had no choice other than to turn left and hope there was an exit down that way.
"Keep low and out of as much smoke as you can!" I called to everyone.
Makoto and Byakuya had covered the kids faces in their jackets to try and avoid them inhaling the smoke. Wolf was pulling on his lead as he looked for and exit out of this place.
