*Kyoko's pov*
Not thinking twice I left them together and ran out into the corridor. Behind myself I closed the door and then sprinted towards the exit, I heard Monokuma's behind me. When I looked they were chasing me, good I thought that means that they shouldn't go after Soul or Nita.
Outside again it was dull and everyone was stood around looking completely different. They were beaten down, exhausted and in a cirtain light they looked slightly more agressive and not as human, compared to when I left them.
"Kyoko" Komaru smiled when she saw me.
"We need to get in, Soul is in trouble and Monokuma's are coming this way" I panted.
Nothing more was said as Sho and Nori both ran towards the building wepons in hand ready to kill. I also turned around and followed them back inside.
"Just get to the first room on the left!" I called to everyone.
Sho and Nori nodded and when I looked behind Komaru and Buster also agreed.
We fought off the real threats before retreating into the classroom where I had left Nita and Soul. All the time we made sure no Monokuma's saw us enter the room otherwise they would only be waiting when we needed to leave.
Back inside I rushed back to Soul whilst Buster and Komaru blocked up the door again.
I dropped down to him and Nita and told him "Soul I brought help now come on let's go"
I then grabbed his arm to pull him up and he didn't fight back but he was also even heavier.
"Soul?" I asked as I let go.
"Soul, SOUL ANSWER ME! SOUL!" I screamed.
Still nothing, I shook him and Nita just looked up at me. Her eyes dull and sad...
I shrank back and hunched over so I was in a tight compact ball. Again tears streamed down my face.
Not even wanting to look up, but I had to, I had to see him again. Slower I moved to his side, my hands shook as I placed them on his chest. No one said anything and I lent so my ear was above his mouth and nose. I couldn't feel anything...
"Y-you idiot Soul..." I wept, "you saved me, a-and now you'll never see your son grow up..."
I then felt someone touch my shoulder, I looked behind and saw Toko crouched next to me. Nothing was said as I fell into her and hugged her tightly.
I don't think I've ever cried so much, it got to the point where my chest hurt and I couldn't breathe properly. It's the type of crying a human does when they are hurting a lot inside.
Toko stayed with me and held me, I could also hear the other three crying I knew that Soul meant a lot to Buster.
For me, even though I did adore him, it wasn't the fact I would never see him again but more that we would have to brake this news to Hina. She had been through hell and back with everything that had happened so this just wasn't fair for her.
After a while I let Toko go and moved back over to Soul and Nita. Nita was still lying with him, and now I could think properly I checked to make absolute cirtain he wasn't going to come back. He had no pulse and he wasn't breathing anymore but still as I checked my hands were shaking.
"... he's gone..." I told everyone.
"H-he went o-out fighting, d-didn't he?" Buster asked me between tears.
"Saving me that's how he went" I replied.
"Let's talk about it later..." Komaru sighed.
"B-but he wasn't careless so why did he die!?" Buster shouted.
