You got through the rest of the day without any more character sightings. After school, you went to the library for twenty minutes to wait for the parking lot to clear out, then awkwardly walked outside, clicking the unlock button on your car remote looking for which one could be yours.

You eventually found it: a simple silver car with nothing inside to give clues to you as to what the hell was going on.

You got in the driver's seat, tossing your backpack and purse into the passenger's and jamming the key in the ignition, before realizing you had no idea where to go. You had two hours to kill before you were supposed to show up at Evan's and you seriously hated driving around aimlessly and alone.

With a deep breath, you typed the one thing you knew would be there into Google Maps and started following the blue line.

"You have arrived at your destination," the robotic female voice said. A La Mode. The ice cream parlor. You almost pulled into the parking lot, but decided against it when you saw the old sign on the opposite side of the rode.

Instead, you followed it and ended up parking your car in the shut-down apple orchard. You pulled the key out of the ignition and climbed out of the car in awe.

It was real. Or maybe it wasn't, but it sure as hell felt real. That was what tripped you out about all of this, it all felt like real life.

You walked the rows of old trees. It was kind of beautiful, in a way. They hadn't been attended to in years, yet they still grew.
