Keith

february 8th, wednesday morning..
I was currently standing by my locker, getting my calculus textbook. When I closed it, Serena was standing behind it causing me to jump.

"Shit," I mumbled as I closed my locker and sighed, knowing she was going to try and spit game.

"Hey Keith." She smiled. I fake grinned at her.

Serena has been trying to get at me for months now. I only let her suck me up once because she offered and that was that. And every time I deny her and show disinterest in her, that's like her fuel to keep trying. It's annoying now. She's an annoying fly that just keeps buzzing around my ear.

"Wassup Serena." I responded nonchalantly. Don't get me wrong, Serena was a bad ass female. But the way she acts and carried herself takes away all of that from her.

"You haven't returned any of my calls or texts." She stated. I looked at her blankly and shrugged my shoulders.

"I've been busy." I stated flatly. She placed her hand on her hip.

"But you have time to be all up under Jasmine." She sassed. I quirked an eyebrow at her.

Is this girl serious?

"You make time for who you wanna make time for," I shrugged. "Later Serena." I said before walking away.

Jasmine

I watched as Keith walked away from Serena. My mind started to pick and put together anything possible of how to react to the situation. I shook my head to clear my thoughts and kept walking. I didn't walk far before Serena purposely bumped my shoulder. I stumbled and caught myself and quickly turned around.

"Oops, sorry. Didn't know you were there." She snickered. I clenched my jaw at her foolishness. I balled up my fist and loosened it after I realized this girl isn't worth fighting over.

"Oh no. Did I make Princess Jasmine mad?" She teased, fake pouting. "You can't get mad at me for talking to Keith, when he's not even your nigga!" She yelled. I stiffened up and stared dead at her. She was right. Keith isn't my man. We may have shared a couple kisses here and there and showed a deep care for one another, but he isn't my boyfriend.

"Jasmine come on. She isn't worth it." I heard Diana say as she quickly rushed over to me.

"Watch where you fucking step next time." I said sternly to her. Jada appeared next to me and her and Diana pulled me away from the crowd that was forming.

Anger was still formed inside of me. This was a side I didn't want anybody seeing. I'm a quiet and relaxed person until I'm tested. And I'm tested everyday at home. So that always adds fuel to the fire with any situation I'm in.

"Jasmine, please relax." Diana said snapping me out of my thoughts.

"I'm sorry D, she got me upset." I told her as we were standing by her locker.

"Where she at?" I heard Keith's voice from a distance. I looked in the direction he was coming from and quickly turned to walk the other way.

"Jasmine. Jasmine!" Keith yelled as he caught up to me. He held my arm and I snatched it away.

"I don't want to talk to you right now." I said avoiding eye contact with him. I continued to walk and he just stood in front of me.
