By the time Mrs Weasley woke us up, I was already awake but Ginny and Hermione were sleepy. It took us a long time to get ready and only when Mrs Weasley came to get us for the second time did we finally go downstairs.
"Why do we have to be up so early?" grumbled Ginny as we sat with the others in the kitchen.
"We've got a bit of a walk." said Mr Weasley
"What, are we walking to the World Cup?" asked Harry.
Mr Weasley started to explain how the Ministry didn't want us to attract attention but was cut off by-
"George!" Mrs Weasley said sharply.
"What?" said George trying and failing to sound innocent.
"What is that in your pockets? Accio!" said Mrs Weasley and several small brightly coloured sweets zoomed from George's pockets straight into her outstretched hand.
"We told you to destroy them! Empty your pockets. Go on both of you!" said Mrs Weasley but of course they would not comply and only by using the Summoning charm could Mrs Weasley get all of them.
"We spent six months developing those!" shouted Fred.
"Oh? A fine way to spend six months! No wonder you didn't get more OWLS!".
The twins walked out of the house without a word to their mother. "Well have a good time and behave yourselves." she called to their backs.
I hurried to catch up with the twins. "Guys, come on cheer up." I persuaded them.
"Six months Miley! Six months wasted." moaned George.
"I have the whole lot you guys sent me. It was a brilliant idea to do that. You guys have plenty of those." I tried again.
"Ah, one of my better ideas." sighed Fred.
"Yeah, you are brilliant. To invent all that it takes brains and I have those. Being your 'prankstar in training' I want to be your personal assistant!" I said and to my relief identical grins appeared on their faces.
"You are hired but remember-" said George.
"-we are hard masters."said Fred. They were considerably more cheerful as we walked down the lane to Ottery St Catchpole. I hadn't walked a long distance for a while and my legs were still weak from my burns. As soon as we reached Stoatshead hill I felt faint but Fred caught me. " Are you okay?" he asked in concern and George said,
"Oh no, she just got off her cretches! Dad!" he called.
"I'm fine, really." I said breathlessly, trying to stand up.
"Miley I'll apparate up the hill with you then I'll come back and get the rest okay?" Mr Weasley said.
After that encounter, I decided that I hated apparation. It was way too uncomfortable for me.
My legs were throbbing with fatigue when he left me up there. I drank my Strengthening Potion and lay there for a while.
"Hello, Camilla right?" said a voice and I looked up into the most handsome face ever. "I'm-"
"Cedric Diggory. I know you." I said getting my fan-girl face on. He smiled.
"Why are you all alone? Are you okay?" he asked. I could not believe this, he was one of the most wanted guys at Hogwarts and he knew my name.
"I-I I'm with uh, the Weasleys. I wasn't feeling good so I was brought up here first. Are you alone?" I asked stuttering a little.
"I'm with my dad. I'm actually supposed to be searching for the Portkey." he added guiltily.
I giggled. "Sorry for being a distraction." I said batting my eyelids. Lame, Miley. Really lame.
"A beautiful distraction's always welcome." he said with a smile before leaving. Oh my goodness, did he really think I'm beautiful? I had to fan myself when he left.
The others arrived a while later. "Hey Miley, are you feeling better?" asked Fred.
"I'm fine." I said then remembering that he caught me, I blushed."Thanks for catching me." I said.
Ginny and Hermione came up to me then. "Please tell me you weren't blushing for Fred." said Ginny looking like the thought made her sick. I sighed.
"I don't know what's wrong with me today, first I flirt with Cedric then I blush for-" I said.
"Cedric? The Cedric Diggory?" asked Hermione.
"The one and only." I said dreamily.
"Spread out. Let's look for the Portkey" said Mr Weasley.
Amos Diggory then came over to us with the Portkey and introduced Cedric to us. I noticed the twins' coldness to him. I guess they still hadn't forgiven him for beating Gryffindor in a Quidditch match.
"All these yours Arthur?" asked Mr Diggory looking at us.
"Only the redheads. That is Camilla a friend of Ginny's-" started Mr Weasley.
"Camilla? Sirius Black's daughter?" he asked, sometimes I hated looking so much like my father. Mr Diggory was answered when he saw the burns on my arms and left eye.
"That's Hermione, a friend of Ron's and Harry another friend of-"
"Merlins beard! Harry Potter?" asked Mr Diggory.
"Er- yeah." said Harry uncomfortably.
I immediately decided I didn't like Mr Diggory when he said beating Harry at Quidditch made Cedric the better man. Please. Cedric only bettered Harry in looks. You know what, maybe he was actually right, I mean Cedric was older and way more muscular.
When I saw the twins scowling I decided to act. Literally.
"Oww, ouch my leg. How much longer?" I grimaced.
"Oh sorry. Are we waiting for anyone else Amos? Miley really needs to rest." said Mr Weasley.
"Of course she does. The Lovegoods have been there for a week and the Fawcetts couldn't get tickets." said Mr Diggory.
"Okay then. Everyone touch the boot. One minute... Three... two... one.." said Mr Weasley and I instantly felt as if a hook behind my navel had been jerked forward. I found myself on the ground and only Mr Weasley and the Diggorys were standing. Cedric gave me his hand and raised me up.
"5:07 from Stoatshead hill." said a voice.
