I placed the invisible camera where it had the clearest view of the Great Hall.

"Come on Miley. We'll be late. It is almost eight." whined Ginny.

"It's good to keep them waiting. Although you should probably go because Neville might worry that you changed your mind. No one will blame you if you change your mind. You can still do it." I said and Ginny scowled at me.

"It is too late now. Not all of us can get rich or famous dates." she as she Hermione went up ahead of me. As for me, I wanted to make an dramatic entrance in the Entrance Hall. When I was sure that nearly the whole school was down there, I stepped in, my heels echoing on the floor.

Heads turned and people gasped. I could feel that the amethyst was making me glow and everyone just had to look at me.

Pansy Parkinson looked like she had been slapped.

Harry's jaw dropped and his mouth hung open.

Cedric let go of Cho's hand and watched me moving with wide eyes.

When I reached Blaise, his eyes looked like they would pop out of their sockets and his mouth was wide open. I smirked. "You're drooling." I said. That snapped him out of it.

"You look stunning. Absolutely beautiful." he said taking my hand. "I reckon you could give Aphrodite a run for her money."

I blushed.

Thankfully, the doors to the Great Hall opened and we went in. The champions were the last ones in. I had to admit, I was truly a witch because I had worked magic on Hermione. She looked really good. Parvati was beaming at everyone while Harry moved uncomfortably next to her. I wasn't worried. He only came with her because he had no option just like he would have come with me because he had no option. What I was worried about was Cedric and Cho. He looked well but for some reason kept scanning the crowds. After Dumbledore's opening speech, the feast began.

"Why does he keep looking at you?" asked Blaise with a frown.

"Who?" I asked without interest.

"Diggory."

I looked up at the champions table and caught Cedrics eye. He smiled and I smiled back. "I don't know." I said to Blaise.

"Hey Black, how long did it take you to perfect that look? A whole month?" sneered Pansy and Milicent Bulstrode chortled.

"No. Only a few minutes actually. But thank goodness I didn't use Calmous face powder like you did since everyone knows that it leaves pimples." I said then added. "Not that a pug like you cares how she looks anyway." Pansy looked like she was torn between crying and ripping my head off.

"Camilla! Don't insult my date." said Draco.

"She started it." I said.

"Why is that Weasley blood traitor here and not Crouch?" asked Blaise changing the subject.

"He's probably been promoted." I said glancing up at Percy.

"Ah, I'm sure the family must be glad. Maybe Weasley can buy himself some proper dress robes." said Draco and Crabbe, Goyle and Blaise laughed.

"Oh shut up Draco." I said glaring at him.

"Poverty is such a touchy subject with you Black. Tell me did your uncle have to hunt through the entire Amazon to sell enough game to buy you that amethyst?" said Pansy. How dare she? I shook in anger but Blaise dragged me away by the hand to the dancefloor. I hadn't noticed that people were now dancing.

"How dare she?" I said as Blaise led the dance.

"You did call her a pug." he said.

"Well she is one." I pouted.

"And your uncle is a werewolf." he pointed out.

"Shut up and let us dance." I said as a fast song came on. We danced a couple more times before,

"May I cut in?" said Cedric from behind us. Blaise stiffened.

"I'll get us drinks." he said letting go of me.

Cedric took my hand as a slow song came on. His one hand held mine and the other my waist. I felt a tingle wherever his hands touched me.

"You look gorgeous." he whispered and I giggled as he pulled me closer.

"The dress brings out the colour in your eyes." he said

"My eyes are brown." I whispered.

"Today, they are blue." he said and I didn't know if he meant it literally, so I just contented myself to resting my head on his chest. He was warm. I could hear his heart- then a throat cleared.

Blaise.

I disentangled myself from Cedric and left to sit down with Blaise. He didn't say anything so I shut up too. We danced a little more and sat down again. I watched Ginny and Neville. Neville was a horrible dancer.

The ball ended at midnight and Blaise took me back to the Gryffindor tower.

"You're quiet." I said.

"I'm plucking up the courage." he said.

"Courage to do what?"

"To kiss you." he stepped closer. My heart skipped a beat.

"Oh don't mind me." said an angry voice close to us.

Harry.

I stepped back. "Goodnight Blaise." I said walking away and stepping into the common room.

"What do you see in him? He's a Slytherin! And I saw you dancing with Cedric! He's nothing but a useless pretty boy-" started Harry but he didn't finish because I slapped him.

"Don't you dare insult my friends! Blaise may be a Slytherin, but he is way more considerate than you. He spent days figuring out how to ask me to the ball unlike you who only asked me because Cho wouldn't go with you! As for Cedric, it's not his fault that the girl who rejected you, accepted him!" I screamed. On that happy note I stormed upstairs.
