Days passed but no one significant asked me to the Ball. I hoped that since Cho Chang had taken Cedric away from me, I could at least have Harry, since Blaise apparently wasn't speaking to me. I was however asked by Neville and a creepy Slytherin third year, Theodore Nott. Of course I rejected them both.

I was also worried about my left arm. At first when it itched I thought that it was one of my burns but instead of fading the mark was becoming more distinct. It looked like a skull with a snake potruding from it's mouth and it scared me. When I wasn't practising my powers with Trelawney I was with Moody. I enjoyed watching his dark detectors and for some reason around him, my mood swings were calmer. He let me examine his office but not his trunk. I wondered why. On this particular day, I felt the nausea creeping up to me and immediately went to his office.

"Ah, hello Miss Black." said Moody gruffly.

"Good day sir. May I come in?" I asked.

"Of course. In fact I have something that may assist you." he said.

"Really? What is it?" I asked.

"It's a book. It will help with the effects of your powers. We don't want your mind to be susceptible to Dark wizards." he said handing me a large old looking book called: "The Dark Egde of the Seer's mind."

"Thank you Professor. I actually have something I need to discuss with you." I said hesitantly

"Do you suspect someone is trying to kill you? Poison you?-" started Moody

"No. It is just this weird mark on my arm." I said hesitating slightly before pulling up my sleeve. He stared at it in surprise.

"This is...no it can't possibly be. If it grows any more, I want you to tell me all right?" he sounded conflicted.

"Okay." I said leaving.

"Constant vigilance, Miss Black." he shouted. It was around dinner but I made my way to the common room. To my surprise, sitting in front of the fat lady was Blaise.

"Camilla. I've been waiting for you." he said.

"What are you doing here? You've been avoiding me." I asked.

"It is because I was plucking up the courage." he said.

"Courage to do what?" I asked as he stepped closer. I felt breathless.

"To ask you to go to the ball with me. Will you be my date?" he asked softly and nervously. I swear my heart stopped. I felt as if something was dancing in my stomach. I was blushing red as I smiled.

"Yes. I'll go with you." I said. It was worth the smile that painted his face.

I was smiling as I entered the common room but I stopped. Harry, Ron and Ginny sat at a corner. Hermione stormed upstairs. "What's up?" I asked.

"Harry and Ron were rejected by Cho Chang and Fleur Delacour, respectively." said Ginny. So Harry did ask Cho after all and what in the world was Ronald thinking by asking a girl like Fleur?

"Miley. Will you go to the ball with me?" asked Harry. I couldn't believe it. He was asking me because Cho had rejected him?

"No." I snapped and stormed upstairs too.

On Christmas morning, I awoke to a pile of presents at the foot of my bed. Mrs Weasley made me a blue jumper with C written on it. The twins got me a fake wand, Hermione a book on Transfiguration, Ginny a hair band. Ari and Lou, a make up kit, Mrs Clearwater her homemade muffins that I loved so much, Draco a pair of costly black heels, Harry, a beautiful brown clutch bag, Cedric, a gold watch which told time and direction. My favourite presents were the one from my uncle and my dad and the one from Blaise. My dad and uncle got me a camera and a photo album. My dad said the camera had other sub cameras in it which could be put in other rooms so that I could spy on them using my camera. I could spy on people. I knew Blaise's mum was one of the richest witches in the world but his present was out of this world. It was a jewellery set. A pair of earrings, a bracelet and a necklace. They were made of silver but contained amethyst stones also known as the stone of protection. It was pinkish-violet and it glowed when I put it on. It was amazing because this was the first time that I had ever seen, let alone touch pure amethyst.

At five oclock, I gathered the girls. I made Hermione my own Potion to straighten her hair and I put on her my make up. She looked stunning in a flowing liquid blue dress.

I curled Ginny's hair put in some pale make up on her. She looked more feminine than I had ever seen her, in her pink hand me down, dress.

And then me. I kept one side of my hair long, straight and sleek. I curled the other half and tied some of it back with pins. I applied a little blush to my cheeks, a little eyeshadow and pale pink lip gloss. My dress had a low neckline, and it was long at the back but barely touched the knees at the front. It was a deep purple-violet colour and I wore it with my new black heels. Finally I put up my amethyst earrings, bracelet and necklace. I felt a bit guilty for leaving my dad's locket but all that vanished when I looked in the mirror.

I looked absolutely beautiful. Yeah I know, not very modest.

"Who will look at us with you looking like that?" sulked Ginny.

"Don't be silly. For once you two look like total girls. We are totally going to blow the boys away." I said excitedly.

After dozens and dozens of stunning pictures we headed downstairs. Of course, I took one of my sub cameras with me.
