Ryan, surprisingly, didn't ask any questions until we rolled up to my driveway and I was hopping out of his car, rushing towards the front door.
'May I know who this Axel Winter is?' He asked, following me into the house and I grinned at him over my shoulder as I ran up the stairs.
'Nope.'
He gave me a look, striding up the steps after me as I hurried to my room. Barging through the door, I swung open my wardrobe, ruffling around through my clothes as I looked for a specific item of clothing.
'Faye,' Ryan sighed, leaning on the door frame, 'I'm serious. It's like this dude just materialized out of thin air.'
I snorted, rolling my eyes at him even though he couldn't see. 'Pfft. Thin air? For you maybe. Axel's been my best friend since kindergarten, or even before that. I don't really remember. He's been gone on this two year exchange program to France. And now he's back. Tada.'
I mumbled out the last bit, digging through my wardrobe and flinging clothes over my back.
'Aha!'
I pulled out the shirt I was looking for, smiling at it widely as Ryan narrowed his eyes at me. I ignored him, crouching down and grabbing the pair of boots that went with it in my other hand. Ryan's brows rose. 'You're wearing that for this Winter guy?' He asked dryly and I gave him a look.
'I'm not dressing up for him if that's what you're asking,' I huffed, throwing the clothes onto my bed, 'He got me these for my birthday. A gift. I promised I'd wear them when he came back. I'm just keeping my promise. Now, unless you want to see me change, I suggest you leave.' I came to a stop in front of him, crossing my arms and raising my brows as I waited.
Ryan's smirk grew mischievous, eyes dancing over my body and darkening as he dragged a hand through his hair. 'I'd rather see you change.'
Cue the heart skipping a beat and palms growing clammy.
'Ryan,' I managed to let out a huff, marching towards him and pushing him out of the door. 'Wait for me outside the house. Don't touch the fridge.'
He gave me a look that meant that was exactly what he'd do and strolled down the staircase, hands in pocket. I stuck my tongue out at his retreating back and slammed my door shut.
Locking the door behind me, I slipped off my clothes, changing into the large, blue-black sweater type shirt that reached my thighs and my knee-high grey boots. I loved boots, so sue me.
Dabbing the slightest bit of mascara onto my lashes and a bit of blush on my cheeks, I dragged some lip gloss across my lips and clipped on a pair of blue hoop earrings. Looking myself over once in the mirror, I nodded once in approval before throwing my discarded clothes back into my closet and leaving the room. I walked downstairs, checking the time and sending Avril and Rhea a message at the same time.
Axel should be here any minute.
Stepping outside, a gust of wind ruffled my hair as I spotted Ryan standing near the street at the end of the driveway, eyes on his phone as he typed something. He looked up when he heard me approaching and froze, eyes widening slightly.
