What the hell, have I done?

Actually, who cared. It felt fucking amazing.

I tried to remember the cheers. The gasps of shock and delight as I'd taken off my helmet. But all I'd seen was the expression on Ryan's face.

It's been two years, since I started racing.

Two years of no one knowing this part of my life. Two years of hiding away in the safe haven that is my bike and the ground. Two years of being not a name or a face but a legend.

And the legend had finally revealed herself.

I don't know what came over me. But the stiffling feeling I felt as I slid my helmet onto my head was so intense I couldn't ignore it.

I was tired of hiding myself. I was tired of lying and acting and hurting. So I thought why not. Why not let them see the real me? Because the real Faye Raven was finally fighting to escape.

And I was done fighting back.

For once, I didn't regret it.

I didn't regret the feeling of freedom and the thrill buzzing through my body as I stood on that stage.

I embraced it. And I loved it. I loved this.

So I revelled in every shocked face and bathed in every cheer and let myself be me.

No one could say I didn't deserve it.

I woke up the next day feeling less miserable considering every other day. My mood threatened to plummet when I remembered the happenings of school yesterday but I beat the thought away and decided if anyone tried to mess with me they'd find themselves in the nurse's office.

And Miss Potts will probably 'forget' there was an injured student. She might suddenly decide to have a cup of tea. She loved tea.

Ironic.

I let a smile grace my features at the thought and pulled open my closet with a sense of purpose.

Forget the hoodies and over sized sweaters. I was going all out today. Be it not at all what I usually wear. It'd be my style. And I was going to flaunt. Not that, I'd ever give up or let go of my hoodies and over sized sweaters. I lived for that shit.

But I'd make Alexis drool at the sight of me.

And specific other people feel stupid for pitying me.

The thought of him brought on an unwelcomed pang of bitterness and I frowned.

Deciding to ignore it, I pulled out a hot, dark orange tank top, ripped, black jeans and a pair of dark, ankle boots.

Simple but stylish. It would do for today.

Slipping it on, I stood in front of my mirror and straightened my usually wavy hair until there wasn't a curl in sight. Deciding to experiment, I pulled out the black lipstick Avril had gotten me a few weeks ago and stared at it uncertainly before putting it on.

Best decision ever.

Smacking my lips together, I grinned at the badass staring back at me. Finishing with a highlight, eyeliner, mascara and a stroke of eyeshadow, I inspected my reflection with a smug grin; impressed with the outcome.
