Her soul was shattered.
A million shards just waiting to be glued.
His soul was empty.
A beautiful canvas, always waiting for colours to spew.

And they roamed the world;
The broken and empty, a symphony of echoing pain.
Alone they sought,
what they thought, was a reason to keep them sane.

They searched for someone full of beauty and grace.
The perfect solution to a life disgraced.

But every person made them feel insane;
Two different stories, completely the same.

Yet in the end,
They found a reason to stay.
Not beauty, but each other,
Broken and plain.

Hopefully, yet curious,
They scrutinized the other.
Realizing, with a shock,
The answer was within each other.

Confused, they saw it wasn't who they would have chosen.
But a person, their equal, just as broken.

So he pieced her back together and she painted him in.
Together, they broke, what had broken them.

Because what they needed wasn't love to numb the pain.
It was someone to make them feel whole again.

GUYS, I still haven't fully realized that 2017 is almost at its end. It went by faster then me eating French fries. It's so weird, considering 2016 and 2015 felt like an eternity and here 2017 felt like a day. It can't be just me, right?
