Some people hate P.T. Hell, some even do anything in their power to get out of it. Every book I've read, every movie I've seen, the main girl always hates P.T.

But hey, some even love P.T. Some count it as the favourite, actually most bearable, part of the day.

I include myself in the latter.

Basketball is, and will remain, my favourite sport of all time. Then comes soccer, volleyball and tennis. I'm sure you're guessing why a nerd like me plays all these sports but I'm also sure we've established that I'm not a nerd.

Whatsoever.

The jerks at my school are just too blind to see that. I guess I like it that way, considering I can do whatever I want without consequences. No one suspects you when they don't think you can do it, do they?

So when I scored my fourth hoop of the game my teammates and the opposing team had their mouths open so wide I could've fitted trucks into them.

The gym was dead silent and the only sound was the clapping of an excited Avril. 'Go Faye! Chew on that, assholes!' A few people threw her angry looks but the majority ignored her. I chuckled at her expression as my gym teacher, Sir Drew beamed at me. 'Good Job, Faye! The others could learn something from you. Why haven't you participated in the other basketball games before. I had a natural player right under my nose!'

I just shrugged at him, unable to remove my smug grin at the kids glowering at me. Jealous much?

'Here's what,' Drew continued, 'you come try out for the team at the trials and I'll give you an A for this semester.'

I gaped at him for a moment. Getting an A in Drew's class was next to impossible. The kids around me scowled harder but I ignored them. 'You're kidding me!' I blurted out and Drew laughed. 'I most certainly am not, Miss Raven. So that's a yes?'

I grinned, 'Definitely.'

He clapped his hands once, 'Brilliant! Its on Thursday, 3:00 pm sharp. I better see you there.'

I nodded at him as the bell rang and students started filling towards the locker rooms; whispered discussions echoing around the gym, no doubt about me.

Ah, sweet, sweet victory.

It was French fries and hamburgers today. Not to forget the strawberry yoghurt and a piece of cake. Life was so worth living when I had food like this in front of me.

I was shoveling fries into my mouth when Rhea took a seat next to me. 'Slow down you maniac,' she laughed, watching me trying to choke myself. 'Did you eat breakfast?'

I gave her a look that meant 'obviously, but I'm still hungry' and she stopped questioning me with another laugh, returning to her fries and yoghurt.

Avril plopped down then, picking at her fries with a sigh. 'What's wrong?' I asked but due to my stuffed mouth, it came out like 'Wags wgong?' She turned to me with a curious expression and her lips quirked up when she saw my stuffed face.

'Sheesh. When was the last time you had food?' She chuckled. Rhea spoke up next to me, giggling slightly, 'This morning apparently. But she's still hungry by the looks of it.' They both laughed at me as I swallowed my food and glowered at them.
