Meeting the Parents

"I'll pick you up at Sara's, just get dressed casual right now," Cameron said causally. he kissed me on the forehead and walked back to his car. We finally arrived back at Sara's and we all rushed to take showers. It was hot out today, there was barely a breaze outside. 

I help the girls get ready for when the boys pick us up which is in an hour. Sara starts by straightening our hair, I do our makeup, and Courtney helps with our hairstyles. After we finally got ready, we decided on our outfits. I wore a white croptop with high waisted acid rain shorts, and a pair brown combat boots. I put on my vibrant red Mac lipstick, and Courtney put a braid in my hair. Sara wore a muscle tee with black high waisted shorts and studded combat boots. Courtney wore a plain crewnecked white shirt with a pair of floral printed shorts and sandals. She put a bandana in her hair, since that's what Taylor always wears.

We finished with a few minutes to spare, then I heard the doorbell ring. I grab my sunglasses and run to the door with the girls.

"Hey princess, you look beautiful," Cameron said hugging me. He's so adorable. 

"Aww thanks," I said blushing, "Where are we going?" I asked. He's always taking me on surprises.

"You'll see," He said grabbing my hand and walking me to the car. Nash and Taylor were already in the car. We hurry to get in, then we finally arrive at the park. 

"I was thinking we should have a picnic, its beautiful out and we shouldn't spend it inside," Cameron said as he got out of the car to come open my door.

We just sat on the picnic blanket and ate a little and talked the entire time. It started getting late and I ran to go to the swings. Everyone followed me, and we watched the sun set on the swings that overlooked the lake. 

"I wish I could watch this everyday," I said leaning my head on Cameron's shoulder.

"Me too," he said looking at me. 

"Hey, can I ask you something?" I asked Cameron.

"Yeah, what's up babe?" He asked concerned.

"Well, my parents want to meet you." I said nervously. This might be a bad idea to bring up now.

"Okay, when can I meet them then?" He asked. I'm surprised he's okay with it. 

"Um, well you can come over for dinner tomorrow," I said. 

"Okay, sounds good," He said smiling he grabbed me and kissed me on the cheek. Now I have to text my mom, and tell her to make sure my dad is going to be on his best behavior. 

After the long picnic the six of us had, it was time to go home. It got late quickly, and Cameron drove me back home. 

"I had a nice time," I said smiling. I winked at him, it was an awkward wink because I'm an awkward person. He started laughing hysterically. 

"Me too," He said after he stopped laughing. We took everyone else home, it was just us in the car. He walked me up to my front door, the lights were off this time. Then I realized I didn't have my key with me.

"I just realized I don't have my key with me," I said annoyed. I wasn't expecting to go home after the date, I thought I was going back to Sara's house.

"You can just come to my house and sleep over, then I can take you back home tomorrow," He said calmly. We walked back to his car, but before we got in he kissed me passionatley. Then I see a light turn on, oh boy.. Cameron didn't see the room light up in my house, so I rushed back into his car before anything bad happened. 

"Okay," he said confused. We drove back to his house, and as soon as I got there I fell asleep. It was an exhausting day, and I feel his arms around me. When I'm in his arm I feel like nothing can harm me, that I'm safe.
