There was nothing to say, I just burried my face into his bare chest. His skin was hot, am I dreaming? His arms wrapped around me so tightly, I could barely breathe, but I said nothing. We just stared at the test on the floor. School is starting next month, and I know for a fact I'm going to be judged. I hate being judged, because I guess you could say I'm the type of girl that cares about what people think of her. It's weird because when I'm with my friends I could honestly care less about anyone else.
"Cameron," I said faintly into his chest. He pulled me out to be able to make eye contact with him.
"What babe," he asked sweetly. His voice was so gentle, I'm so lucky to have him.
"I'm scared," I admitted. My voice was quiet, I couldn't hear myself as the words left my mouth.
"Me too, but we'll get through this together," he reassured me. His fingers lightly trailed up my arm, and to my shoulders. Tracing the shape of my shoulder blades ever so gently. Chills ran through my body, as I closed my eyes thinking of my next move. I turned to him, and put both of his hands on to my thighs.
"Do you think that we would be good parents?" I asked. It was the first question that popped into my head.
"Yes, I think we'd be the best out there," he said through a small smile. I laid my head on to his shoulder and closed my eyes. I still need to process what just happened. I shot my eyes open and grabbed my phone. Before I knew what I was doing, I already dialed her number. At least I know that she will be the only one that won't judge me.
Courtney's POV
I got back home to Taylor still sleeping, I guess the medicine he was on was making him tired. I quietly walked to my closet to put away all of the clothes I bought, and changed into a pair of Taylor's boxers and an over the shoulder tshirt. I tip toed to my bed and slid under the covers slowly so that I didn't wake him up. A small moan escaped from his perfect lips, and he turned to me and wrapped his arms around me. Then his beautiful hazel eyes came into view and a small smile appeared on his tired face.
"Hi," he said through his smile.
"Hi," I whispered back, he's so adorable I couldn't help but smile back at him. "How's your arm?"
"It doesn't hurt that much anymore," he said and his eyes started to close again. I leaned over to kiss his forehead, then his lips. I could tell he was tired, he pulled the covers over his shoulder, and noticed what I was wearing. I heard a small tired laugh escape him.
"What?" I asked intrigued. His laugh was the kind of laugh that when you hear it you have to laugh too. So I did.
"Nothing," he said. His eyes were closed, and his voice was raspy yet quiet.
"Tell me!" I said jokingly, and lightly pushed his shoulder. He finally opened up his eyes.
"You look so perfect in my American apparel underwear. I should leave them here more ofthen," he said through a smirk. I felt my cheeks getting red, a small giggle left my mouth. He smiled and then closed his eyes again, I pulled myself closer to him since he was past out in a matter of minutes, and I heard my phone go off, which woke us both up.
I grabbed my phone, the brightness of the screen hurt my eyes. Then I answered the call, I put the phone to my ear.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Courtney, are you alone?" Danielle asked worried.
"I'm with Taylor, why what's up?" I said with concern.
"Um ,well, I need to tell you something," she said. I could easily tell in her voice that she was nervous. This cause me to worry. She's never been nervous to tell me something before.
"Tell me," I said trying to calm her down.
"Promise me that when I tell you, you won't judge me," she said with a worried tone in her voice. I think I know what's coming next.
"Danielle I would never judge you," I said trying to make her feel some what better.
"I'm pregnant," the words came out of her mouth so fast that I had to think twice about what she said since it came out so fast. My phone slipped out of my hand and crashed on to the floor. Who'd ever thought this would happen? "Hello? Courtney? Are you there?"
I quickly grabbed my phone and put it to my ear.
"Yeah I'm here, I dropped my phone," I said. I don't even know how to react to that.
"So... What do you think?" she said interested in my opinion.
"I think that the two of you will be amazing parents, and that child will be damn lucky to have two people that will care about them so much. If you ever need help just remember I'm always here," I told her. I would never judge her, I'm just still in shock. I was expecting her to say that she was cheating, but no, pregnant.
"Thank you Courtney, that means a lot to me," she said. I could tell by the tone in her voice that she was relieved.
"You're welcome, so when are you gonna tell your parents?" I asked.
"Um, well, I was hoping not for a while. I could just say that I've been gaining weight. They won't notice until I get a lot bigger. I guess I'll just wait till then," she said. I don't think her mom would believe that she's 'gaining weight' we all know that she could eat so much food and still end up being a twig.
"Don't you think they'd be mad if you kept it from the for that long?" I asked trying to bring her back to reality.
"They'd be mad either way," she answered. "Alright, I gotta go, I'm starving. I'll talk to you later,"
"Okay, bye," I said and hung up the phone. I laid back down with Taylor. He was already passed out by the time I got off the phone. I closed my eyes, and tried to process what just happened.
Danielle's POV
That wasn't too bad, maybe I can tell my mom now.
"I think we should tell my mom babe," I said breaking the silence.
"Are you sure you're ready for that yet?" he asked concerned. He placed his hand on the small of my back and rubbed it softly.
"Yes, she's my mom. What's the worst she could do?" I said through a laugh. I took a deep breath, he trailed behind my steps. I walked to the living room. She just got home, she seemed happy, maybe now is the perfect time.
"Mom, we have to tell you something," I admitted right as she walked into the living room.
"What now Danielle?" she asked. The tone in her voice sounded as if she was annoyed.
"First, what's wrong with you?" I asked with a bitchy tone.
"I'm tired, I couldn't sleep last night. What do you have to tell me," she said rubbing her eyes.
"Well, I think you should sit down for this one," I said through a laugh. She sat down on to the brown leather couch. Cameron and I sat on the loveseat together. His fingers intertwined into mine. His thumb lightly caressed the back of my hand. He raised our intangeled hands up to his lips and kissed every individual finger of mine, then the back of my hand.
"Go ahead babe, Everything will be okay," he whispered into my ear. I looked over at her, with butterflies in my stomach, my dry throat causing me to have trouble breathing. This will break her heart, I can't break her heart. I have to tell her, I can't keep this from her, she'd be more hurt if I hid this from her.
"I'm sure its not that bad, what do you have to tell me?" she said impatiently. He arms folded infront of her stomach, she crossed her legs waiting for my response. I'm scared, scared of what she'll think of me. If she changes her view on me, her innocent little girl. This will break that sterotype. I took a dramatic deep breath, and let it out. Letting out all the fear, nerves, and insecurity out of me.
"I took a test, and I'm pregnant," I admitted. As soon as I said the words, I wanted to take them back. I couldn't, you can't take back what you say. It's out there already and there's no way of taking them back. There's no return fund on words that were said.
