Ch. 5

*Sophia's POV*
*2 hours later*

"Sophia." Alexa said, shaking me awake.

I opened my eyes and looked around. "What time is it?"

"2 pm." Alexa said. She looked annoyed. "What's the point of having an assistant when she sleeps all day?"

I sat up. "I was up earlier. I must've fell asleep after Danny left."

She rolled her eyes. "Get dressed and let's go."

I stood up and pulled on a pair of dark jeans and my Plenty To Burn muscle tank. I followed Alexa out of the bus and lit a cigarette.

"What are we doin' today, boss?" I asked.

Alexa kept walking. "We have a signing."

I walked faster to keep up with her. "Why do I have to be there?"

"Because you're my assistant." She said.

We walked to the signing without saying anything. When we got there the line of people waiting for them blew my mind.

I stood off to the side and the band took their seats. I lit another cigarette and watched.

"Hey, hot stuff." I heard. I turned to see James from Asking.

"Hey, cutie pie." I said. I smiled and hugged him.

"I heard about you and Danny." He said. "I'm really sorry."

I shrugged and took a drag off my cigarette. "I'm really okay. Me and Danny talked, and us breaking up just made sense."

He nodded. "I heard about you wanting to get sober."

I looked at him. "Yeah. Just over it, I guess."

He smiled. "I'm proud of you." With that, he walked away.

I looked over at the band and smiled. They all looked so happy. Alexa smiled at me and waved. I waved back and walked to the food tent.

I went up to the cooler and grabbed a Monster. I turned and walked directly into Austin.

"I'm sorry!" I said, laughing.

He smiled. "You're okay." He reached around me and grabbed a Monster. "What are you doin?"

I motioned towards where the band was doing their signing. "Apparently I have to be up Alexa's ass just so she can do a signing." I shrugged. "I wanna go back to bed."

Austin laughed. "You'll never experience anything from inside a bunk."

I smiled. "True."

Danny walked by and waved. I smiled and waved back.

Austin frowned. "Shouldn't you guys be together or something?"

I shook my head and reached for the bowl of candy on the table. I grabbed a bag of skittles. "We broke up last night."

Austin eyes lit up. "How come?"

I opened the bag. "We just didn't fit together. The only thing we had in common was drinking and sex."

"I'm sorry to hear about that." He said.

"Don't be. I'm fine." I smiled at him.

He smiled back. "What are you doing the rest of the day?"

"Whatever Alexa asks me to do." I said.

Austin shrugged. "Well. Maybe until she's done with the signing, we can chill?"

I smiled. "That'd be cool. What did you have in mind?"

"I don't really know. I've been walking around all day and I would love to just relax." He said. He motioned towards the buses.

"Fine with me." I said, throwing the skittles away.

We walked to the buses together. While we walked Austin's hand brushed against mine. I looked up at him and he was looking the other way.

When we got to the buses we went to mine. We got on and went to the back lounge. Austin turned on the xbox and started playing. I watched him.

The only thing I could think about was the bottle of vodka I had hidden in my bunk.
