*next morning*

*Alexa's POV*

I stayed the night on Oli's bus last night. I knew Sophie and Danny were having a date night.

I got up and ready for the day. Jeans and a white tee, sleeves rolled up. I pulled my dreads up into a bun and stepped out of the bathroom.

Oli smiled at me. "White girls with dreads are hot."

I smiled and patted his head. "Sorry, sweets. You don't have the parts I like."

I stepped off the bus and was greeted by Austin.

"Whatsup, dude?" I said. We started walking towards my bus.

"Nothin, just wanted to see my good friend, Alexa." Austin said, smiling.

I laughed. "You wanna see Soph?"

He nodded. "Am I a bad person? She has a boyfriend."

"Hell no." I looked at him. "Love Danny to death, that's my boy, but Soph could do way better. Especially now that she's getting sober."

Austin frowned. "Sober?"

I nodded. "She has a drinking problem."

"For how long?" Austin asked.

"Since we were 18." I said.

We reached my bus and I stopped in front of the door. "Don't tell her I told you."

Austin nodded.

I opened the door and stepped on. Sophia lay in the middle of the floor, passed out. A bottle of Jack Daniels was still in her hand. I ran to her and kneeled down next to her. Austin came in behind me and froze.

"Daniel!" I yelled. I heard him move around in the back lounge. "Daniel! Get your ass out here!"

He came out and looked at Sophia. His shoulders dropped and his jaw clenched.

"Why did you let her drink?" I said.

"I didn't know she was drinking, honest." He said. He picked her up and layed her on the couch.

I looked at Austin. He was looking at Sophia.

I picked up the bottle and threw it in the sink. It shattered. Sophia groaned.

I looked at her. She rubbed her eyes and her forehead. Danny rubbed her leg.

"You okay, baby?" He said softly.

"Yeah, I'm fine." She said.

I pushed Danny out of my way and sat with Sophia.

"What the hell happened last night?" I said.

Austin sat down on the other couch.

Sophia sat up and reached for the bottle of aspirin. "I fucked up."

I snatched the bottle from her. "Yeah, you fucked up. Didn't you just promise Lewis you weren't gonna drink?"

She put her head in hands. "Lex, please lower your voice."

I threw the bottle across the room, almost hitting Danny. "No! Sophia, you can't keep doing this!

Danny stepped towards me. "Lex, seriously. Her hangovers are bad. Quiet down."

I smacked Danny in the mouth. "This is your fault!" I was so angry. "You should've been watching her!"

Danny glared at me. "I'm not her babysitter!"

"But you're her boyfriend!" I yelled. I pushed him and walked off the bus, slamming the door.

*Sophia's POV*

I winced when Alexa slammed the door.

Danny looked at me. "What the hell, Soph!" He walked off the bus too.

I looked at Austin. "You wanna scream and storm off too?"

He shook his head.

I leaned back in the couch and groaned. My head felt like it was gonna explode. I crossed my legs indian style and rubbed my temples.

Austin cleared his throat. "Are you okay?"

"Mhmm." I mumbled.

He picked up the bottle of aspirin and came and sat by me. He held it out to me.

I took it. "Thanks." I looked around for a drink. Austin handed me his Monster. I took 3 aspirin.

Austin looked at the floor, not saying anything.

I touched his leg. "I'm sorry you had to see all that."

He shook his head and smiled at me. "I'm just happy I got to see you."

I smiled and turned to him. "You're sweet."

He shrugged and smiled.

I closed my eyes and sat back. "Who knew a bottle of whiskey could make your brain wanna explode."

"I feel like it's pretty common knowledge." Austin mumbled.

He stood up. "I'm gonna go find Alexa."

He walked out without saying another word.

"Another person I've disappointed," I said to myself. "I should win a fucking award."

I groaned and stood up. "I guess I should get dressed."

I walked to the back lounge and dug through my bag. I pulled out a pair of pink shorts and a black tshirt. I got dressed and grabbed my phone, sunglasses, and cigarettes.

I sat on the couch and lit a cigarette. I heard someone come in. I looked up to see Mikey in the doorway.

"Hey Mikey Mike." I said.

He kneeled down in front of me. "Alexa told me what happened."

I took a long drag off my cigarette. "Figures."

He took my hand. "Soph. You know you're not doing this alone. We stand behind you every step of the way."

I turned my head and blew the smoke away from Mikey's face. "Mike, I know. It's just easy to just stop." I sighed. "Especially when the one person that should be supporting you doesn't give two shits."

Mikey shook his head. "Danny cares about you. He just has his own issues to deal with. He's not ready to fix them yet."

I looked at Mikey. "What if I'm not ready either?" I looked at the floor. "Drinking is the only thing that makes me feel numb. I'm not ready to let that safety go."

"Sophia, it's not safety. Like you said, you're just dulling the pain. No matter how much you drink it's not gonna help you get over what happened." He squeezed my hand. "Soph, I've been exactly where you are. You know that. You helped me through it."

I looked up at him. "What helped you?"

Mikey sat next to me on the couch and put his arm around me. "I found something I loved. Another way to vent my anger and my pain. Music is my release."

I layed my head on his chest. "I do love drawing." He patted my leg. "Maybe I could start drawing again."

He smiled at me. "Perfect idea." He stood up. "Now c'mon. Of Mice & Men goes up in a little bit and I don't wanna miss them."

He pulled me off the couch and we walked to the stage. We got on the side stage just as they started.

Danny came up to me and wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my neck. "I'm sorry, baby."

I shrugged and watched Austin. Danny kept his arms around me. Every few minutes he whispered sweet nothings, but I didn't care. I watched the show and ignored him.
