*later that night*

*Austin's POV*

Sophia and I layed curled up on the couch. I rested my head on Sophia's belly and she stroked my hair. I ran my finger up and down her scar.

"That was amazing." She said.

I looked up at her and smiled. "Yeah, it was."

I turned my attention back to her scar. I kissed it.

"You can ask, if you want." She said.

"Ask what?"

"Where that scar came from. And any other ones that you're curious about."

I sat up and looked at her body. Along with the one on her belly, there was a long one on her arm. My eyes roamed her body. There was another one under her belly button and four that she had covered up with her gypsy tattoo. I looked at her other leg. A black and white floral tattoo went down her thigh. I ran my fingers down it and felt more scars. Another went across her collar bone.

"What happened?" I whispered.

She sat up and crossed her legs. I held her hand. "You know I told you my sister killed herself?"

I nodded.

"Well, the day she killed herself, she was trying to kill both of us." Sophia said.

I frowned. "What do you mean?"

Sophia sighed. "We went through a lot when we were little. She was really depressed." Her eyes filled with tears. "We were driving one day to go visit our brother. She was driving. And she was crying because she was sick us having such shitty lives."

I squeezed her hand and kissed it.

Sophia continued. "I was trying to calm her down. She was being so irrational." She shook her head. "She was on so much medication. I shouldn't have let her drive." She covered her face and started crying.

I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her into my chest. "It's okay, Sophie. It's okay."

She pulled away and wiped her eyes. "She kept saying how if we had just died when our mom gave birth then we could be in heaven."

I rubbed her leg. "What happened, Soph?"

"She told me how much she loved me. And that we'd be happy after we were gone." Her eyes filled with tears again. "And then she drove the car out in front of semi truck." She took a deep breath. "She died on impact. I went through the windshield and got knocked out. I woke up in the hospital 3 weeks later." Sophia looked up at me. "She was the only family I had left."

I hugged her and rubbed her back. I didn't say anything, just held her. She sobbed and her whole body shook.

After about 25 minutes, she stopped crying. She pulled away. "I'm sorry." She whispered.

"Why are you sorry?" I asked.

She wiped her eyes. "For bringing you into my fucked up life." She sighed and stood up. "I should go."

I grabbed her hand and pulled her onto my lap. "Don't go, okay?"

She kissed me. "I gotta go, sweetie."

I kissed her back and wiped a tear off her cheek. "Stay with me."

She shook her head and stood up. She pulled on a pair of my pajama pants and put her shirt on. "I'm sorry."

She walked out of the room and closed the door.
