Ch. 24

*dinnertime*

*Sophia's POV*

We spent the rest of the day at the beach. We swam and played in the sand and laughed till our bellies hurt. It was amazing.

We layed on the beach, our fingers entwined. Austin's eyes were closed. I rolled on my side and layed my head on his chest and looked up at him. He opened his eyes and smiled at me.

"Hi, beautiful." He said. He stroked my cheek.

I smiled. "Hi, handsome."

"Did you have fun today?" He asked.

I nodded. "Thanks for forcing me to get out there."

Austin smiled. "You're welcome, baby."

His belly growled. He put his hand on it and laughed. "Wow. I guess I'm hungry."

I looked at my phone. "It's 6:30. We've been here all day." I sat up and picked up my cigarettes. I lit one and smiled at Austin. "Wanna go get some food?"

Austin shook his head. "Baby, put that cigarette out."

"I will when I'm done with it." I said. I stood up and wiped the sand off my shorts.

Austin stood up and grabbed our phones. "I really wish you'd quit."

I shrugged. "Maybe one day."

He took my hand and we walked towards the street. "Wanna go home and shower?"

I nodded. "Yeah. I feel like the whole ocean is in my hair."

Austin smiled at me. "I still can't believe you went under."

"Well, how could I have resisted?" I winked and motioned to his crotch.

He laughed and licked his lips. "You're cute, babe."

When we reached the house I saw Alan's car in the driveway. I rolled my eyes and we walked in.

Alan, Danny, and Ben sat on the couch eating chips and watching tv. I stood in front of the tv and put my hand on my hip.

"Why are you guys here?" I said.

Austin sat down on the other couch and took the chips from Alan.

Alan pouted at me. "We wanted to hang out."

I looked at Austin and he shrugged. I rolled my eyes. "If y'all are gonna be here then I'm not cooking dinner. Order pizza."

Danny smiled. "You guys had sex."

Austin coughed and laughed. "How can you tell?"

Danny stood up and came over to me. He cupped my face and I slapped his hand away. He laughed. "Look! She's glowing! I know that look when I see it!" He winked at me and touched my face.

I slapped his hand. "Don't touch me."

Danny turned to Austin and whistled. "Somebody's cranky. What'd you do?"

I shook my head. "Austin didn't do anything. It's the fact that I have zero privacy with my boyfriend because our dumbass friends can't last one day without being up his ass." I turned and went upstairs. I heard Danny laughing and it pissed me off.

I went into our room and went into the bathroom. I turned the shower on until the water was perfectly hot. I stripped down and stepped in. The water hit my skin and I felt all my tension and anger disappear. I wet my long hair and washed all the salt water out. After I was clean and felt relaxed I stepped out and stepped in front of the mirror.
