Chapter 6

After everything I went downstairs. "sweetie you look beautiful." My mom said as she saw me walk down the steps.
"Thank you mom." I said.

Then my dad came in the kitchen. "Oh honey you look beautiful."

"Thank you dad." My mom came up to me and hugged me and my dad did the same.

"Mom can I use your car to drive myself."

"Oh yea sure."

She handed me the keys and I gave them a kiss goodbye and I went in the car and drove to school. I saw Hannah and courtney walk in with a couple of girls and I saw other people walk inside.

I got out my car and I fixed my dress, I locked the car doors and took a deep breath. I started walking towards the music and I saw people dancing and talking and laughing.

On the corner of my eye i saw Jeff and clay talking on the bleachers. I walked towards the snack table and i grabbed a cup of punch and saw Justin foley looking at me.

"What?" I said as I took the cup away from my lips.

"Sorry you just look nice." Justin said.

"Thank you." I smiled at him.

I walked away and started dancing by myself. When I turned clay was walking towards Hannah and Hannah was walking to clay. I stopped and smiled at them while they were talking and laughing, then they started dancing.

I kept dancing until I heard a voice.
"Um excuse me do you know where is the punch." I turned around and it was Jeff.

"Wow." Jeff said as he looked at me up and down.

"Yea?" I said.

"You look beautiful." Jeff smiled at me.

"Uh thank you." I said as I started blushing.

"You finally came tho." Jeff said as he started to rub his neck.

"Yea I did." I was hiding my smile from him and then we stood there quietly for a few seconds until a slow song came on.

Jeff smiled at me and reached his hand out.
"Wanna dance?" Jeff said with his hand still reached out.

I smiled and I grabbed his hand, Jeff pulled me in and we were face to face. We started to dance And he spun me around slowly. I smiled and he pulled me back in and once again we were face to face. At this moment I felt something and I just wanted to kiss him.

"I like dancing with you." Jeff said as we were dancing back and forth.

"So do I." I said.

I took a deep breath and just kept dancing my heart started to beat so fast as I looked at Jeff. Jeff smiled at me and I smiled back then in a quick second I kissed him. I pulled away quick and Jeff stared at me in surprise.

I got so shook I ran away from him. I think he tried to pull me back but I was nervous so I ran. An hour later I tried to avoid Jeff the whole dance waiting for the dance to be over and Jeff kept looking at me.

The dance ended and I drove home the kiss kept replaying in my head. I just kept thinking about his soft lips.

I got home and my parents were asleep so I went in my room and changed into pajamas and I put my hair in a high ponytail.

I wiped off my makeup and went outside and sat on the porch stairs. Until a car pulled up and it was Jeff he had his jacket on and he didn't have his tux on anymore.

"Hey can we talk?" Jeff said as he walked up to me.

"Uh yea sure." I said. I scooted to the side and Jeff st next to me. It was silent for a few seconds but I broke it.

"Look I'm sorry for kissing you. I wa-" I was cut off from Jeff.

"No it was okay." Jeff said looking at me.

"You must think I'm a dork." I said Jeff giggled and I laid my head on his shoulder.

"No I don't think you're a dork." Jeff said.
"I think you're adorable."

I giggled and I lifted my head and looked at him then he kissed me.

Once we pulled away i looked at him.
"Why'd you do that?" I said as I looked down trying to hide the biggest smile I've ever had.

"Because this is how I wanted to kiss you at the dance when I was close to your beautiful face." Jeff said as he smiled.

"Really?" I said as I started to blush.

"Yes." Jeff said.

"I'll see you tomorrow?" Jeff continued.

"Yea, you will." I smiled and I hugged him after.

Jeff went to his car and turned to look at me once again I smiled and waved goodbye. Jeff did the same and bit his lip.

I went inside and closed the door behind me and I stood by the door and took a deep breath and I smiled once more. I walked upstairs to my room and went to sleep.

The next morning I woke up and took a shower and did my normal routine. I went downstairs and made some toast my parents came down and gave me a kiss goodbye and went to work. I sat down and ate until I got a text message.

Jeff: hey😄.
                                                 Mia: oh heyy😊
Jeff: you want a ride?
                                                 Mia: yea sure I'll be out
                                                   Front.
Jeff:good I'm out here. 
                                                 Mia: okay.

I turned off my phone and I went outside. I saw Jeff standing by his car. I walk up to him to give him a hug, but instead he dodged the hug and kissed me on my lips. It took me a second to come back to reality I was caught by surprise. I had a weird look on my face but then he went in the car and I started smiling hard.
