Chapter 8

"Hey Sheri." I said as I was next up on the table.

"Oh hey Mia." She said as she was gathering up some papers.

"I'm turning this in."

"Oh okay lets see who's numbers you get." Sheri said with excitement. She put the paper through and a bunch of numbers were on it. I got my paper and turned around I saw Hannah sitting down writing on a pink paper, I looked at the paper and it was the dollar valentine survey.

"Hey Hannah." I said as I approached her.

"Hey Mia."

"So you're doing the dollar valentine." I said as I sat down next to her.

"Yea I just want to do something." Hannah said as she smiled at me.

"Oh cool well I'm gonna call these numbers to see who I got." I said as I grabbed my phone.

"Hey put it on speaker I wanna hear your mystery man." Hannah says laughing.

I giggle then I call the first number. The number started to ring and then someone answered it.

"Hello?" The guy said.

"Hey it's Mia you were on my list for dollar valentine."

"Mia? It's uh Justin."

"Oh Justin?"

"Yea."

"Oh well yea you were on my list."

"Oh I'm happy that I was on your list."

"Okay."

"So you wanna go out tonight to dinner or a movie."

"Uh no."

"Common Mia at least think about it."

"Alright."

"Well I'm gonna save your number in my contacts."

"Okay so will I, bye."

I hung up the phone and looked at Hannah and laughed and she laughed then I called the next number.

"Hello?"

"It's Mia you were on my list for dollar valentines."

"Oh it's Bryce."

"Oh hell nah." I hung up the phone quick and Hannah laughed hard and her face was getting red.

"Yea that's not gonna happen ever." I said as I called other numbers.

The other numbers were nice guys and then I waved bye at Hannah and I went to my locker and I saw Jeff on the phone. I grabbed my stuff and then a girl walked up to him with the phone in her hand, they hugged and they started to talk. I admit I was a little jealous, so I walked away until I heard Jeff say "so I'll see you tonight on our date." They hugged once more and walked away. Before Jeff left he looked at me like he has been caught.

I walked away and grabbed my phone I looked through my contacts and I called Justin.

"Hello?"

"You still wanna go out on that date?"

"Yea sure. I'll pick you up at 8."

"Yea."
I hung up the phone and walked home and waited till it was at least 7 so I can get ready.

It turned 7 so I got ready and then 8 o clock came by so I heard my doorbell ring. I ran Downstairs and I grabbed my jacket. I came downstairs and justin was standing there with flowers in his hand.

"Hey I uh brought these for you." Justin said as he showed me the flowers.

"Oh wow thank you Justin that's so sweet of you." I said as I grabbed the flowers and I put them down on the table.

I walked out and closed the door behind me. Justin grabbed my hand and held it I started to think about Jeff the way he held my hand on our first date. Justin is a cute nice guy but I like Jeff.

Justin walked me to his car and we went to a restaurant and he pulled a chair out for me. We had a nice time till Jeff and his date walked in. They were talking about a movie they had just seen and how it was a good movie.

"So Mia what changed your mind." Justin asked as he flipped through the menu.

"Uh well I was just thinking I should give you a chance. I've been really bitchy towards you." I said as I took a sip of my drink.

"Oh I forgive you and I was a dick to you tho." Justin said.

"Well I forgive you too." I said with a nervous laugh.

The waiter came to our table and we ordered then Jeff and his date sat behind our table. So basically my focus was on Jeff instead of Justin.

"So do you have feelings for Jeff?" Justin said.

"Wait what did you say?" I said in shock.

"I said you have something on your face on the left." Justin said.

I snapped back into reality and I took another sip of my drink and I wiped my face and it was a crumb of the bread.

Justin and I talked and we ate but I couldn't concentrate my focus was just on Jeff and I could tell he's been staring at me.

We finished our meal and justin walked me outside of the restaurant and we stood by the window.

"Mia you look really beautiful tonight." Justin said.

"Thank you." I said with a little smile on my face.

I looked up at Justin eyes and then Justin moved a couple of hairs out my face. Then Justin kissed me it was wonderful but he wasn't the one. I thought I can get my mind off of Jeff but I couldn't. We stopped kissing and I smiled and bit my lip.

I turned to look inside the restaurant and I saw Jeff looking at us in surprise and then he looked down.
