Chapter 7

We walked into school and saw clay locking his bike, Jeff and I stopped by him.

"Hey clay." We both said.

"Oh hey guys." Clay said grabbing his book bag.

"You ready to go in." Jeff said.

"So are you two a thing?" Clay asked.

Jeff looked at him and I looked at him.

"Sorry it's just the kiss between you two caught my eye." Clay said as he kept walking towards the locker.

I started laughing nervously and so did Jeff. We ignored the situation and walked towards our locker. We got our stuff and walked away to our classes.

Classes went by and so did lunch then after math I had my free period so I sat outside again and I was doing math homework while listening to music.

Jeff comes up and taps me on the shoulder. I take out my headphones and look up at him.

"Can I sit here?" Jeff says.

"Uh yea sure." I move my backpack and put it on my other side.

"Well actually I have a question." Jeff said nervously.

"Yes?" I said.

"So there's this new movie coming out tonight and I didn't want to watch it alone." Jeff said fidgeting with his fingers.

"Are you asking me out on a date?"

"Uh I think I am.....yea I am do you want to go on a date with me." Jeff said smiling.

"I'd love too." I smiled at Jeff.

Jeff took out a deep breath of relief.
"Good I was worried you wouldn't." Jeff laughed a little and I laughed along.

I got up and I kissed him on the cheek.
"I'll see you tonight." I said and then I walked away.

As I walked by Bryce and his friends were staring at me.
"Damn Mia nice ass." I raised my middle finger at him and kept walking towards the school.

The end of the day came by and I went home and finished the rest of my homework. I got dressed and waited for the time to come as Jeff was gonna pick me up.

I heard the doorbell ring so I went downstairs and Jeff was standing at the door.

"Hey ready to go?" Jeff said as he smiled.

"Yea I'm ready." I closed the door behind me and he grabbed my hand and walked me to the car. I was praying to god that my hands would not get sweaty.
Jeff opened the door for me and I got in. We drove to the crestmont and went inside.

I saw clay cleaning the counter and we walk towards the counter to get popcorn.

"Hey clay." I said

"Hey Mia, hey Jeff." Clay said back.

"Hey clay." Jeff said

"Can we get a medium popcorn." Jeff said.

"Yep." Clay turned around and grabbed popcorn and gave it to us we payed and then turned around to go inside.

The movie ended and we walked out, clay was still working but Hannah was with him.

"Enjoy the rest of your date." Hannah and clay said at the same time. Then they laughed and we laughed.

"Enjoy your flirty conversation." I said as we walked out the door.

I laughed and I turned and hannah and clay looked at each other and blushed at each other.

"What do you wanna do now?" Jeff said as we walked out the theaters.

"I don't know how about look at the moon." I said as I pointed at the sky.

"Great idea." Jeff got in the car and so did we drove up the mountain and you could see the view of the town and the sky.

Jeff and I got out the car and Jeff went at the back of the car and opened the trunk. Then he pulled out a big blanket.

"Here sit on this." Jeff said as he laid the blanket on the ground.

I sat on the blanket and he sat next to me I started to hold myself and I started to shiver a little.

"You cold?" Jeff asked me.

"I'm a little chilly."

Jeff took off his letterman jacket and wrapped it around me. I smiled and grabbed it and held it. I started to feel warmer. Jeff put his arm around me and I started to blush. I lied myself down and I looked at the stars and the moon. Jeff laid next to me and we talked for hours.

After that he drove me home and we stood by my front door.

"Thank you for an incredible Friday night." I said as I looked at him.

"You deserve it." Jeff said.

I smiled and I looked down at the ground until Jeff lifted my chin up and looked at my eyes and lips I did the same and he pulled me in closer. Then we kissed there goes that feeling again.

"Uh here's your jacket." I took off the jacket and gave it to him.

He took it and he smiled at me and walked away. But he was walking backwards. He kept walking backwards and he tripped from a rock but he played it off and turned around going in his car. I started to laugh and I went inside.

A few months later passed and me and Jeff haven't been on a date ever since our first one. It was already February and dollar valentine was happening. I took the paper and described myself.

It was lunch and I walked towards clay and Jeff and I sat next to clay. I looked at Jeff and Jeff looked at me and we just stared at each other.

"What the hell happened weren't you two at one point in love with each other?" Clay said as he ate his food.

"Clay we've only been on one date." I said.

"So isn't there more." Clay said looking at me.
Jeff looked at me and I looked at him again.

"I gotta turn in my dollar valentine paper." I said as I got up.

I threw my tray away and went towards the halls.
