Chapter 14

Clay and I walked into the library and we saw Hannah sitting down reading a book and writing.

"Clay go talk to her it's okay." I said as I hid behind a book shelf.

"Thanks Mia." Clay said.

Clay walked up to Hannah and I ran to the next bookshelf to listen to the conversation. I know I'm nosey.

"Hey Hannah can I talk to you." Clay said nervously.

"Yea sure." Hannah said.

"I'm sorry for being a dick earlier. I was just mad." Clay said.

"I forgive but I'm sorry for screaming at you in Jessica's party."

"Wait can I ask why like what happened."

"Well It was fine but I was thinking of everything like how people thought I was a slut and that I was easy and everything else. Plus I was scared that you would tell everyone."

"Hannah I would never do that. Those boys are just assholes that want to be cool and do stuff like that." Clay said.

"I should've known that you aren't one of them you're different and that's what I like about you." Hannah said.

"But I wanted to tell you something else." Clay started to say nervously I think he is going to tell her he loves her.

"I hope you have a good year." Clay said. Hannah smiled at him and he left. Clay walked up to me and smiled until I hit him in his arm.

"Ow." Clay said holding his arm.

"What the hell was that. "Have a good year?" Really clay."

"I'm sorry I panicked."

"Okay listen she's staying tonight at my house so ask her to come outside and then tell her how you feel."

"Okay fine at what time." Clay said.

"At eight o clock."

"Okay I'll be there." Clay said.

"Don't pussy out on me Jensen I'm counting on you." I said to him.

"I'm not going to I promise." Clay said.

School ended and Jeff drove me home. Before I left the car Jeff pulled me.

"Wait can I come in." Jeff said.

"I can't I have to set up." I said.

"Set up for what." Jeff said raising his eyebrow.

"Well Hannah's coming over so I'm picking out movies and snack and clay is finally doing it."

"Doing what?" Jeff said confused.

"I'll text you to get here when clay is here." I said.

"Okay, but wait can I get a kiss before I go."

I leaned over to him and I kissed him and he caressed my cheek as we kissed. We pulled apart and I got out the car and I waved goodbye to Jeff.

I went inside and waited till hannah got here. The doorbell rang. I went downstairs and opened the door Hannah was standing there smiling at me.

"Hey Hannah." I said as she walked in.

"Hey Mia." Hannah said.

"So I have snacks and movies upstairs if you wanna go." I said smiling at her.

We went upstairs to my room,got comfy and watched movies. An hour or so passed by and the doorbell rang it was exactly eight o'clock. Hannah and I went downstairs and I opened the door. Clay was standing outside.

"Hey clay." I said as I had the door wide open.

"Hey Mia." Clay said nervously.

"So um I should give you two privacy." I said. Then I ran upstairs and texted Jeff.

Then i heard a knock on my back window. I opened it and Jeff climbed in.

"Okay so what is clay finally doing." Jeff said.

"Shhh." I said as I pulled Jeff towards the front window listening to the conversation.

"Hannah I don't care what people think about you or what they would think about me if I was with you. Hannah you're funny and you're different from every other girl. I know you've been going through a hard time but I want to be here for you. I'm never leaving you or your side, because......because I love you. I love you Hannah baker and nothing is ever going to change that and I'm never ever leaving you.." clay said nervously.

Hannah was shocked and she started to tear up.
"Are you just saying that or do you really mean it."

"Hannah I really love you. I mean it." Clay said.

Clay went closer to Hannah and kissed her me and Jeff smiled at them and i started to tear up because it was so beautiful.

"I love you too clay." Hannah said.

Then a couple days went by and Hannah and clay were now a couple a lot of people were happy for them and a lot of people disapproved but you know fuck it.

There was going to be a big party at Bryce's and a lot of people were going so me and Jeff decided to go with Hannah and clay.

Hannah came over and we helped each other find some cute clothes for each other and we just talked and laughed in my head I was thinking I'm glad to see her smile and be happy because the past few weeks she's been alone and sad.

"Okay so this one is perfect for you." Hannah said as she was holding up a shirt in front of me.

"Okay but we need bathing suits. I'm getting in that pool." I said as I giggled.

"Damnit I didn't bring one." Hannah said.

"Well you can use one of mines." I said as I grabbed a bathing suit out of the drawer.

"You're letting me use it?" Hannah said raising an eyebrow.

"Yea you're my best friend why wouldn't I let you use it." I said as I put lipgloss on. I turned my head and Hannah started smiling and smiled at her.

"Okay." Hannah put the bathing suit on then she put clothes on top of it.

I started to put my bathing suit on and I put clothes on top. Then we waited for jeff and clay to pick us up. 

The door bell rang and we went outside and saw clay and Jeff standing.

"You guys look beautiful as always." Jeff says.

"Thank you Jeff." Me and Hannah said at the same time.

Jeff and clay led us to the car and opened the door for us then we drove off.
