Chapter 20

*2 weeks later*

"Hey! It's the Scamander's!"

Hazel shouted gleefully as Newt and Tina appeared at the door, she kissed both their cheeks and hugged them tight then led them to the sitting room where the rest of the family was waiting. "Oh everyone has been dieing to see you too, how was the honeymoon? Did you like it? I know the summer cottage is not that big or is that exciting as you're used too, but I thought since you were a newlywed couple you would enjoy some privacy for a chance, ah here they are, hey everyone look who's back!" Hazel rambled pulling the flustered newlyweds towards the room. "Teenie you're back!" Squealed an excited Queenie, jumping up off the sofa to hug her sister, the rest of the family followed Queenie and happily greeted the couple. "Hey little brother long time no see, how was the honeymoon?" Theseus joked clapping his brother on the back.

"Now now everyone there will be plenty of time for questions and story telling after we eat." Hazel said leading everyone to the dining room for supper, as everyone sat down in their respective seating Hazel pulled out her wand and smiled as trays of food flew out of the kitchen and onto the table top. Suddenly a wave of unpleasantness swept over Tina as she began to gag, Everyone looked over at her concerned, while Newt looked worried Hazel was downright hurt. Tina blushed, "Sorry, I just don't feel very well." she said embarrassed. As the food was being passed along the table Tina tried to not smell the food, it looked the same but it smelt different,

"Hey Hazel, did you add anything to the chicken?" she asked looking to see if there were clumps of new spices on the bird. "No dear, it's the same as last time. Why do you ask?" Hazel replied suspicious. Tina was confused, "oh, ah, nothing." she replied digging back into her supper, Hazel cast one more glance at her daughter in law before also taking a bite.

"What was wrong with the chicken?" Newt asked after they had arrived home. Tina looked guilty, "Oh no, I loved it it was delicious, your mother is a wonderful cook, it-" she stopped, "It was probably nothing." Tina said casting her eyes out the window where the sun was just setting and the birds began to fly back to their nests. Just then she began to realize how tired she was, "I think i'll feel better after some rest." she said putting away her coat, Newt smiled, "Okay, i'll join you in a minute I just have to feed the creatures." he said setting down his suitcase and kissing her on the forehead before walking down into the case. Tina smiled happily for a moment before feeling a wave of dizziness come over her, she quickly grabbed the coat rack for support as she took some deep breaths. Though she was still feeling lightheaded, she climbed up the stairs to their bedroom, laid down on the bed and fell asleep.

The next morning Newt awoke to the sounds of retching coming from the bathroom, he climbed out of bed, wiped the sleep out of his eyes and proceeded to the bathroom to investigate. Inside he was surprised to see Tina crouching on the floor vomiting into the toilet. He quickly bent down to her side to help, "Merlin's beard Tina are you alright?!" he asked worried as Tina shakily lifted her head and nodded. After cleaning up they both trudged downstairs to the kitchen, Newt made Tina some toast as they both sat down for breakfast.

"Teenie, I really think you should see a healer." Queenie told her sister when she had come over for tea that afternoon, her sister huffed. "Why? I told you Queenie I feel fine." Tina replied stubbornly, Queenie sighed and took her hand. "I'm serious Teen, you've not been feeling well ever since your honeymoon, your showing all the signs, I think you might be pregnant." she said casting a glance at her sister.

"She's right you know," said Hazel walking in with a plate of cookies, "The morning sickness, nausea, dizziness-"

"Okay, okay I'll see a healer." Tina interrupted, "But I'm telling you it's probably just a stomach bug." she said taking a cookie.

"That, or we got another Scamander on the way." Hazel mumbled into her cup, Queenie smiled.

Newt looked up from playing with the baby Graphorns to see his wife back from her appointment and on the floor talking to Dougal, there was something different about her that he couldn't quite put his finger on it. Sure she looked the same, but there was this glowing aura around her that made her shine like the sun. Tina caught Newt's eye and smiled, getting up from the ground and walking over to him. "Did everything go alright at the hospital?" he asked concerned taking Tina's hand, she smiled suddenly nervous, "Yes actually, I have some good news."

"Oh?" he said sitting down on the bench, Tina did the same. She took a deep breath and began to talk, "So the healers did some tests on me to see what was the matter and.." she spoke looking up at her husband with love in her eyes.

"They said I'm Pregnant."

Newt's eyes grew wide, he began to shake and stutter, "I-I'm sorry, w-what?" Tina's eyes softened as she took his hand,

"I'm Pregnant."

Newt stared at her in disbelief, Tina then felt self conscious and nervous, "Newt honey? Are you alright?" she asked looking at his pale face. Unexpectedly his face broke into a grin as he got up and shouted in joy, he then picked Tina up by the waist and swung her around. "She's pregnant! She's pregnant!" he exclaimed then placing her down on the ground and kissing her on the lips. All of Tina's worries faded away as she began to laugh and smile as well. Newt hugged her tight, "Oh Merlin Tina you're fantastic! We gotta build a nursery, a crib-" he jabbered, Tina couldn't wipe the smile off her face, he was happy she was happy, everything was perfect.
