Chapter 13| Niall is Just a Friend

It felt like forever since anyone had attended his wounds before and Josh seemed to enjoy doing it as well. But the downside was that Josh was angry at the person who had done this to him.

He handed the ice pack to Zayn where he pressed the ice pack to his stomach. He looked over his boyfriend carefully. He then shook his head.

"Who hurt you? Niall? Harry? Who?"

He licked his lips. "He was drunk. I don't want you to do anything rash or something to hurt him that you'll regret."

"Oh, trust me. I won't regret anything I will do to them. Why? Was it Niall?"

"No!" Zayn exclaimed. "No, he helped me actually."

"My god Zayn! Just tell me what happened! It can't be that bad!"

He stared at him carefully, his eyes slightly on the verge of tears. He glanced down for a brief moment as he gathered his thoughts but didn't know how to tell him.

So, he blurted it out.

"Harry took advantage of me."

Josh stared at him. "I'm gonna kill him."

"No, Josh! Don't!"

He quickly stood up unaware to the numbed pain in his stomach. He didn't feel dizzy but he felt off balance. He staggered slightly and felt himself land on his knee.

Josh turned back towards him when he saw him, panic washed over him. He darted down where he wrapped his arms around his waist and neck.

He slowly ascended him up and back on the sofa. Zayn stared up at him, his gaze no longer loving – fear was replaced in them.

"I don't want to be alone."

He heard his voice crack and that only made him upset with himself at the thought of leaving him in this fragile state. He slowly descended and sat next to him.

He softly placed his head on top of his shoulder whilst he wrapped a strong arm around his back and his waist. The small gesture of this was enough to break him.

He cried softly that Josh lifted his head to place a soft kiss against his cheek. He couldn't leave him like this. He gazed at him softly bringing himself closer to him.

"You're never going to be alone. Ever."

He wiped at his tears. Josh glanced down at the couch before he gently poked his boyfriend's side. He motioned to the couch before he slowly adjusted himself to lay down.

He moved an arm gently to pull at Zayn's shirt. He slowly descended upon Josh, his chest pressed into his own. He settled underneath his boyfriend's weight.

A small sob came from him only for Josh to shush him quietly. He settled his arms around him carefully and let his arm wrap around his waist. His other went up gently brushing his fingers into his hair.

"I understand that you're feeling lots of emotions," he spoke softly into his hair. "But remember that none of this is your fault."

Zayn buried his head in his chest and sobbed softly, a lump slowly made its way into his throat that made him choke. Josh ran his fingers through his hair carefully.

They both remained there for the rest of the night.

Zayn jumped up slightly when he heard a loud bang on the door. He groaned softly and glanced down to smile softly at the calm relaxed face of his boyfriend.
