Chapter 15| Home Sweet Hell

"Zayn, don't listen to him. I would never do anything like that. Ever! You know that."

"Oh, but apparently that one night at the bar was nothing, right?" Liam asked.

Josh snapped, "How would you know about that?"

"Is it true?" Zayn asked softly.

Josh's eyes glided over and settled onto his boyfriend. His hopes began to slowly drown out of him when seeing the devastated look in his eyes.

"Is what true?"

"That before we started going out, you were in prison. Is it true?"

Josh licked his lips uncertainly. He didn't know what to say and when he opened his mouth no words came out. Only leaving Zayn to cover his mouth with his hands.

The truth finally came out. He didn't have to say anything for him to know it was true. He wasn't denying it. So obviously it's true. How could it not be true?

"Oh my god..."

"I can explain."

Then the fight began.

"Explain what? We're boyfriends! You should've told me! My best friend had to tell me when it was supposed to come from you!"

At the end of each sentence, he shoved him back, enraged. Josh tried to keep his distance from him so he wouldn't do something he would regret later.

"Not only that! I could have no friends when I was going out with you! Only girls! Never guys! I went out with you, never knowing that you were a rapist!"

With one final shove Josh hit the wall behind him. Zayn shook his head at him. He was disgusted with him. He was disgusted with himself for never knowing.

Josh shouted back, "With you it was different! I became your best friend before we became boyfriends! That's why I love you more than I did them!"

"Is that why you abused them? Because they tried to break up with you!"

Again silence.

"You're dead to me, do you hear me? You're fucking dead!!"

He turned around, his rage had slowly seeped through him that he had to leave. He couldn't stay here with him. At all. He had to leave.

But then Josh grabbed his arm harshly and turned him around. He forced him back where his back met the wall harshly. Zayn stared up at him.

"Let me go you rapist!"

Every time he said that word he broke.

"I didn't want to–,"

"I don't care what you want to say! I'm done with you!"

Zayn shoved him off before darting for the door. Josh was close behind him but Niall quickly separated him from doing so. He glared at him for doing so.

Liam quickly shrugged off his suit jacket and brought it over his friend's shoulders. Zayn could only shake his head as his best friend slowly took him into his arms for comfort.

Josh stared at him helplessly with Niall not letting him pass.

"Zee, let's talk through this. Please. I want to make this work."

He pulled away from the comfort then glared at him.

"Go to hell."

Liam pressed a hand against his lower back about to guide him out of the house when the door opened. All eyes darted to the one and only who caused all this drama in the first place.
