Chapter 30| You Can't Leave

"Please comfort Safaa on my behalf. She isn't going to be happy."

"Don't worry about it, Zayn. You're doing the right thing."

"Well, you must take good care of yourself too. Okay?"

He glanced up when he heard the roar of a car. He spotted Louis as he parked at the curb. He was too wrapped up in his thoughts as he heard Doniya speak.

"You're gonna call us right?"

"Yea, I'll contact you when I reach America."

Louis looked at him curiously before he took out his car key and his seatbelt. Zayn stood up as he now was going to talk to him after the phone call.

"So, you will talk to us again?"

"I guarantee you I'll talk to you again."

Louis pushed open his car door as he looked at him curiously. What was he saying about going to America? Was Liam having to return to his work?

"Okay. We'll see you soon then."

"Alright." He said softly, "Goodbye."

He hung up his phone and looked up at Louis. Concerned, Louis gave him that look that always questioned him before.

"What's the matter?"

He took notice when Zayn sighed softly.

"Louis. Can you do me a favor?"

His gaze grew concerned. "What is it?"

He watched as Zayn pulled out of his coat a letter. He looked at it seeing that it was addressed to Liam. For some reason, he felt that something bad had happened.

"Please help me get this letter to Liam."

Louis stared at the letter for a second. Then he looked up at him concerned. He didn't want to. If it is important he should deliver it to him himself.

"Why don't you give it to him yourself?" He asked cautiously.

"I..." he hesitated. "I'm in a rush. Please...you must do me this favor."

His feelings for him once again arose but brushed it aside. He took the letter in his hand hesitantly but took it nonetheless.

He was still his friend. He shouldn't let his feelings get in the way again.

"All right." He said. "I'll do anything that you ask."

Zayn brought himself to bring his hands on his shoulders. Louis' heart skidded a beat.

"Louis. You must take good care of yourself."

Then suddenly Zayn wrapped his arms around him. Louis couldn't help but feel a little worried about his words. He was too concerned that he didn't ever think to hug him back.

Then he saw Zayn pull back. He watched as he took his backpack off the bench and said a quick but quiet goodbye. He only grew more concerned.

Louis looked at the letter before he took off running to find his brother.

"We're gonna figure something out," Liam said.

Niall nodded lightly. "Well, hopefully, he'll come around. He can't hold a grudge for long, so he won't stay mad at you forever."
