Chapter 14| Josh's Secret

"You think I let Harry molest me?"

His stare was more than enough towards his boyfriend that he knew he fucked up. He quickly tried to correct himself.

"No! No! I didn't mean it like that–!"

Zayn could only shake his head.

From all the things that Josh could say to him, there was nothing that he could say right now to fix what he said. It sounded like he meant what he said.

Though he was angry it was probably a reflex. Despite that, he had no right to say that and expect that everything would be all right.

In Zayn's mind, nothing would be all right anymore. He was...that would forever be stuck in his mind. Nothing could erase what had happened.

The only thing he remembered saying was: "I...I need to get out of here."

He had his keys in his pocket, along with his wallet. He just needed to leave. Anywhere but here. He didn't have the chance to advance as his boyfriend now held him back by his arms.

"Wait, wait! You know I didn't mean that. You know that."

"I just need to go–,"

The doorbell rang off through the house.

With a hazy mind, Zayn made quick haste and left the room. Only for his troubles, his boyfriend was at his heels. He sensed he was behind him.

Niall stared at the duo curiously when he stood up from the chair.

Then came the slight graze of his boyfriend's hand against his wrist.

He yanked his hand forward, away from him so he wouldn't grab him. He reached forward to unlock the door. When he pulled it slightly open Josh was there, abruptly shutting the door in its wake.

He grabbed his wrist, Zayn turned then shoved his hand down. Then Josh grabbed his forearm. He tried to push him off.

"Let go of me–,"

He shoved him into the wall.

"No!"

Niall was quickly near them as he tried to pull him off of Zayn. He pushed his arm down but he came back. Angered, Josh turned around.

Then out of the corner of Zayn's eye, he noticed Josh raise his arm. Before he could try and stop the action of his boyfriend he had already landed a right cold hard punch to his skull.

Niall shoved him back quickly nailing a punch into his eye. Josh dove towards him whilst Zayn stared at the duo. Horror flashed in his eyes.

"Josh stop!!"

It wasn't until then that someone jumped into his view. The man wrapped his arms around Josh and yanked him off of Niall. He pushed him back and kept his arms out to separate the two.

Josh stared at the man. Niall got to his feet glancing a look at the man.

"Zayn told you to stop. I advise you stop!"

Zayn looked at the man curiously before the man turned around to look at him. The thought of him coming here messed him up in the head that he was panicky.

But now seeing him all he could feel was the relief that he had been dying to feel for the longest of times. So when he caught that familiar welcoming gaze he couldn't help but break.
