Four Blood Red Paws

As we rode on the bus to the shopping centre, Cassie laughed about how casual I was about the whole fight. "...and how you whispered her the lyrics!" she laughed. "Oh god Kassidy, you're just chill." she said flicking her wrist in a gangster kinda way.

We hopped off the bus and I offered Cassie an ice cream. I'd gotten some extra cash when she took her schoolbag home and got changed. She asked for rainbow, and I got a mint choc-chip. It was my personal favourite. As we finished up, we headed over to the Pet Shop. Cassie was so excited.

"Aww, look!" she said as she wandered over to the puppy I'd had my eye on since she first came into the shop. It was a gorgeous Australian Sheppard, with white paws, light brown legs and a black and white speckled back and head. He cute little face was had a white streak through from her nose to between her nose, she had black around her eyes and brown around that. Her black and white speckled ears hung down next to her head. She was just gorgeous.

"Can I help you?" the shop assistant asked. "Yeah, I'd like to adopt the cute lil' Aussie Sheppard here please." I smiled. She picked up the lonely pup, and took her over to the register. The shop assistant stood her on the desk and discussed payments and told us what food they had been feeding her.

"Do you have a collar and a lead to carry her out with?" I looked at Cassie, and back to the assistant, and shook my head. "If you'd like, you can choose from our selection of leads and collars just to the back over here. I'll even bring the pup so she can try on the one's you like." she offered, as she led us over to leads and collars.

They all hung neatly from the hooks, in a nice straight line in color code and length. "Wow. Which one do you like Cassie?" I asked her, looking at the options. "Cassie?" I turned over to see she'd found the other dog accessories, like the bows and the jackets. As much as I didn't approve of these kinds of accessories, if Cassie liked it, I would buy and use it for the pup.

As I looked around, I saw a simple dark purple leather collar with studs, and a matching lead. I also saw a black leather collar with studs, and that too had a matching lead.

We tried them on the pup, but I couldn't decide which looked practical and cuter... the purple or the black? None of us could decide, so I ended up buying both pairs, as well as 3 silver bangles that would fit around the pups left paw and make a little noises as she walked along. It gave her character, and me and Cassie also bought 3 as well. We also put it on our left wrist.

"What do you think, hey?" I asked the pup. She yapped happily, and I decided it was time to go. I paid at the register, thanked the assistant, and left with my pup in my arms. "She's so cute! Can I hold her?" Cassie asked excitedly. I carefully passed my new pup over to my friend, and adored how cute they both looked together.

I pinched her camera from out of her pocket, and took some cute snaps. She always carried her camera, and she would have loads of fun with it.

"The movie! Kassidy... and... pup? What's her name?" Cassie asked when she noticed she had nothing to name the pup by. "I'm not sure..." I said as we headed over to the movie theatre. "What does she look like?" I asked. "Milo...?" Cass dragged out. We both laughed. "I like it, Milo." I smiled.

The people that ran the cinema didn't seem to mind the fact that I'd bought Milo in with us. As long as she didn't pee, or make too much noise, and we kept the collar and lead on at all times, they were fine with it.

Although Milo whimpered a few times during the loud, sudden noises, we kept her close. We hugged and cuddled her, and we gave her little treats when she did well. Part way during the movie, Cassie said, "I'm going toilet, you wanna take Milo too?" 

So we all got up and we let Milo toddle along with us, with her cute little bangles jiggling and making little metallic clinking noises. Milo went, then Cassie. "I'm going to get us a snack, meet you back in the theatre?" I asked. "Yeah sure. Don't forget the Maltesers!" she called out.
