The breeze was light and the sun shined ever so perfectly that it was neither too hot or too cold.Stupid weather.
Acting as usual when someone I love has died.
I stared at the gravestone set before my eyes and started to grow more annoyance the longer I looked.
Stupid gravestone.
It didn't even show the type of person he was at all.
Loved by all?
That's such a basic statement it's as if he was no different from other people in this world.
But he was different.
He was quick to understand and more loving than most people.
He was bright and optimistic and gave the world light.
Sure he was human so he wasn't perfect. He tended to be really impatient when it came to waiting in lines or waiting for food and if he was hungry he turned into an actual demon. He let his emotions control him and never really thought logically.
But he was warmth to me. As cheesy as it sounds, he melted my frozen heart. He was the reason I was able to change.
He saved me.
He saved so many others too.
Yet, no one will ever hear about him.
No one will ever realize what he's done.
No one will ever write a book or play about him.
He'll never be the headline of a newspaper.
Not even his parents will be aware of the lives he's saved. They'll never be aware of his impact. The only people that will know of the amazing things he's done are the people he saved.
As angry as that makes me, it's probably how he would want it.
He never liked attention and he didn't act kind and caring for attention. He didn't save others expecting them to pay him back. He just did it because he loved.
He loved people, and the world.
And I loved him.
I set the small roses in my hand in front of the grave and felt as if I was letting go of something special when I released the flowers.
I ran my fingers along the name on the gravestone and felt my mind slowly losing composure.
Dad...
Dad!
