I didn't know was this difficult.
I had no idea that so many things would all go wrong.
Him and I were almost never happy, but we loved eachother.
It was like the universe really didn't want us together but let's be honest, we wouldn't give up no matter what the universe threw at us.
"This is so dumb!" Felix whined.
"Oh stop complaining kid," Felix's producer smacked him with a magazine. "Is he this whiny at home?" He looked to me.
Be careful Owen. If you sarcastically say yes, Felix will give you the cold shoulder for 200 years.
"Not really. He just doesn't like you or something!" I laughed.
"Stupid kid! You're lucky I'm giving you Friday off for your birthday. I should make you work."
"You're too nice Ty," Felix winked. "That's why I love working with you so much!"
"Then actually work and concentrate! You keep singing the lyrics wrong and you wrote the song yourself! The lyrics are right in front of you, moron."
"It's one thing to write cheesy lyrics but it's another to sing them!" He whined. "Why does Owen have to be here?!"
"It's a love song kid, don't you want all the emotion in it?"
"I do but it's hard to just..."
"Owen, how affectionate is this guy?" Ty asked me.
Well now that I think about it...
He always jokes around and didn't take affectionate words seriously.
And when he told me he loved me, he always followed it with "stupid" "dork" or some other remark.
"Um well...he tries."
Felix glared at me. "Excuse you?!"
"Felix honestly, you're gonna have to work on your affectionate side."
"I'm very affectionate what are you talking about?!"
"It's true you're very charming and tend to be nice and patient with those around you but I feel you struggle at expressing romantic love," Ty laughed.
"Why does this matter Ty? I'm just singing a song!"
"You're the one who wanted to work with me. Duke always works with me just fine," Ty smirked.
"Did you just compare me-"
"How about you come back in a week and work on that affectionate side of you? I'll be able to tell if you worked on it depending how well you sing the song when your return," Ty winked and left the recording studio without another word.
Oh poor Felix.
It wasn't like he wasn't affectionate.
He just showed it differently.
Not to sound self centered, but literally anyone could tell how much he truly cared about me. He showed me nonstop compassion and comfort. He always was patient with my short comings and frankly the best partner in the whole world.
He just wasn't good...at the romance.
I didn't mind though. That's how he was, and it was super adorable to see him freak out whenever I said something super cheesy.
Ty was right though. He's a grown man. He shouldn't be this timid about saying I love you. He acted like a middle schooler that was in their first relationship.
